Track description | Creative process
Should start this out by saying I completely missed the 'shops' subtitle, so this is more of a generic Earthbound Soundtrack-esc track.
This was mainly inspired by some of the odder tracks from Threed (The zombie circus part of the game) as well as the music that plays when picking up one of the stars after a boss. After wrestling with and failing to use a free DAW I downloaded, I opted to just use musescore to do the best I could. I wish I could have spent more time on it, but perhaps having less time meant I made a track that was a more realistic length rather than my usual classical music waffle-on forever style. I am ultimately pretty happy with how it turned out. Hope you all enjoy and many thanks for listening.

Very Earthboundy harmony and funkiness. It is a bit strange that there are two major contrasting parts because they sound like separate tracks. Usually video game music is pretty short so it would be good to make 2 separate tracks instead.
I feel like the first part of the song would sound really interesting if a drum set is added -- it can add to the rhythmic dissonance!
Super strange piece! Really like how it almost becomes another piece and then switches back. This would be a great piece to disorient someone!
the groove and quirkiness of the track does fit the earthbound theme and ost well, i'm a big fan of the funky phrasing and melodic lines. the use of space is also well done, but i also wondered how it would feel w some kind of drums or percussive element to fill out that depth? i know musescore is funky about percussion but a little here and there might've also helped balance the use of space! you're in the right ballpark w your ideas and how you're playing w them for sure, keep it up!!
The high level of contrast between the different parts and the way you suddently goes from one to an other is a bit similar to what is done in Sanctuary Guardians. Yet, I don't see this at all for a shop theme.
Nice creativity, and details in your work still, good job.
