Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! :)

Very interesting track. I am not too sure what you're going for in this track, but if I may make some suggestions to the style I assume you are going for -- 1. drumset can have more kicks to drive a more steady rhythm. 2. A bass to solidify the melody. 3. Harmonies are great, but since they are chords, perhaps a cleaner sound can better convey your vision.

The guitar is great for the melody. Lots of ideas you have here! One common thing I used to do in my compositions is also to put a lot of ideas. But it took me some time to learn that a lot of the times, less is more.

Perhaps you may find some of these suggestions useful. Have fun experimenting!

Very Earthboundy harmony and funkiness. It is a bit strange that there are two major contrasting parts because they sound like separate tracks. Usually video game music is pretty short so it would be good to make 2 separate tracks instead.

I feel like the first part of the song would sound really interesting if a drum set is added -- it can add to the rhythmic dissonance!

I like your soundfont! I like the rhythms that you used, but sometimes it also feels a bit difficult to follow because I imagine that in a shop, I want to focus on the items I want to get. However, the music kind of interrupts that flow (too stimulating). I only feel this way in the B section though. I enjoyed the A section melodies!

I love the catchy rhythm! I think that since the chords are higher and the melody is in the lower range, panning the chords could make your track more interesting while also making sure that the melody is the main focus.

Chill track, would be cool if there were some rhythm section too!

Lol, I like how to you named your track "Dready Caves." My shop tune for this game jam is also a tune for a shop in a cave. I was tempted to put a quicker tempo my track, but usually shop music is slower since the main focus is the shop and the shopping experience. I listened to your track in 0.5x speed and felt like if there was a little more groove/swing added to it (and a few other compositional adjustments to cater the tempo), it would have been great too!

Your track is simple with a catchy beat and the tempo is really suitable for shop music. It's something nice to feel the groove while focusing on what the shop has to offer. One thing I would have loved to hear more of is more grooves and variations as the music progresses!

Thanks for the suggestion! One thing I was not so sure of was the tempo. But it didn't sound too great when it was faster, haha

What I enjoyed most from this track is the phrases used. I also like your arrangement and instrumentation of your track especially the bass and drums! Perhaps this may not be too much in the style of Earthbound, but I feel like this could make great shop music too -- maybe have it at a slower tempo (+swing?) since shopping music is usually more of BGM.

I really like it when the triangle comes in! I feel like I enjoy the melody and the percussion, but it feels a little bit empty in the rhythm part in the A section. Perhaps an extra rhythm/ostinato could be added in either percussion or instrument?

Very interesting that you chose to use a 5/4 for shop music. I imagine this track playing in a niche shop in a forest. Love the energy!

I enjoyed the pedal tones and the descending bass that you used.  I think that it is a cute tune fitting for a shop, but since this is for Earthbound, there is a lack of the "out-of-the ordinary-ness." Other than that, I also enjoyed the counterpoint, use of harmony and the melody. It would be great if you could loop the track!

Your track is like a chill shop in the countryside -- very relaxing. I enjoyed how filled the track sounded!

A minimalist soundtrack with a bass ostinato. I also hear some sfxs panned in the background. There is a clear idea in this track -- you could try adding more sfxs and experiment with the panning to fill the empty spaces!

P.S. Awesome image HAHA

My first impression of your track is Dragon Quest (I love Dragon Quest music very much)! Perhaps you may enjoy this piece too.

This track is so fun! Adding drums can further enhance the mood!

Before I knew that bossa nova was called bossa nova, I really enjoyed the Rustboro theme. And that's the vibe I get when I listened to your track! Very chill and relaxing.

I love your ideas and the soundfont, especially the beginning (although I think it would be nice too if the harmonies came in a bit sooner!). Your track gives me vibes for a futuristic mall run by aliens. Some sounds a little bit sharp or a bit too crushed (bass)? Really enjoyed your track overall!!

I like the contrast between the major and minor sections and also the section that comes after it. It keeps the track interesting! If I could something for the countermelody -- in the major section on the very first note, it is E, which is the same as the melody. If it could be a C instead, then the melody will stand out better.

I agree with you that Earthbound's soundtracks are weird in a great way (especially "Battle Against a Weird Opponent"). I like your interpretation that the shop music is meant for the player to simply relax. Definitely felt those vibes -- just relax, just look at what's for sale. Awesome work!

Cute track! My first impression of it is that it could be something from PVZ, haha. I enjoyed the A section and could hum to it. However, I can't do the same for the B section. I understand the techniques you're using but I am just not too sure what to listen to. Perhaps one way to go about this is to use more distinct sounding instruments or empahsize on the panning

There are sooo many ideas in your track! I feel like each section can be developed into more individual ideas. After listening to your track, I think that you may enjoy these vgm.

Thank you! I was thinking that it was also a little on the quiet side 😂

Love the bossa nova and the piano melody! My first impression of your composition is that it could be something from pokemon (NDS). I was wondering what it would sound like if you looped your track and did a fadeout.

Love the cheerful vibes and the guitar chords! I agree that the trumpet is a bit loud, but I still enjoyed the composition overall.

Cool Composition! My first impression of it is that this composition could be a battle theme from Undertale, haha.

I really enjoyed the mixing in this composition! I love the harmony in the second section.

There really are lots of sections in your composition! My favourite section is 0:45. It is like a mini blues improv.

I enjoyed your compositions very much! My favorite is map select. It's minimal yet it captures the atmosphere so well.

I like the contrast in Silver Wings in the Moonlight! It was fun listening to the music while reading the description for each track.

I love the soundfont and the composition! I don't know why but it feels so relaxing to listen to the drums lol. Great job!!

I love the rhythms and the poly chords! I also like the sound effects you used during the transition.

Thank you! :)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed listening!

Thank you!!

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, I agree that there can be so much done with the dynamics. But honestly I am not so sure how much I know how to improve them yet.

I haven't heard this piece before, but I do enjoy the Rachmaninoff piano concertos very much (especially No.2). Thanks for sharing!

I loved the vocals. It's so relaxing -- you have a wonderful voice! I also like that you used the pentatonic scale. I don't have much experience with vocal tracks, but I do know it's a lot of work to mix and master so many voice tracks, on top of singing of them. And all within 48 hours! Great job!

Cool track! My first impression of this track is Life is Strange and Silent Hill 2 (maybe because they are the only 2 games I played that have this style of music lol). It's interesting that you added the electric guitar. I can see that you have a lot of ideas, so keep on composing and experimenting!

Listening to the FF6 soundfont brings back so many memories. I enjoyed the harmonies and the countermelodies that you used. I feel like this track can serve more than an intro. There are so many ideas that can be developed into many different tracks!
