Windows build very helpful! Thanks for getting it working! Liked the bold menu design with unexpected buttons ("FLEE" indeed!).... Definitely the right time of year for this creepy game.
Oh, man! Like music and that creepy light thing. Definetely want something like steam audio support for sound raytracing-ish, it can help to figure out where sound is vertically.
Unfortunately I couldn’t get it running. I lack AVX instructions on my laptop and lack a sound device on attempting to use a remote device :(
I get the following error when I run the AppImage on Ubuntu 20.04:
You can install `libopengl0` for it to work. I'll probably relink it into old-school libGL.
Thank you, that did the trick! This game is challenging. The best score I could get was 10 before something snuck up on me while I was shooting something else or I narrowly missed a shot. The flashlight effect is cool and so is the particle effect when you shoot.
Yeah, I think I could have done it less hardcore. My max score is 31, and it's probably because i've got lucky :D
Windows build with black screen issue fixed: https://github.com/borodust/notalone-thriced/releases/download/v1.0.1/notalone-t...
Never walk backwards! You're likely to be eaten by a grue.
Wow, that is addictive.
Excellent music, the controls are super responsive and the aesthetic is really coherent.
Great job.
Oh man, how cool. I had a similar idea with light and light cones but it was way to late for me to start ... Will study your code. Congrats on finishing!!!
I can't run the precompiled binary nor the appimage nor quickloading from source. Same error on all:
ldb backtrace shows
Does your CPU support AVX instructions? SIGILL is often thrown when unsupported CPU instruction reached.
Nope. It's an old laptop (Intel 4415U). Mystery solved then :D
Very eerie! Love the atmosphere, nothing like turning around and seeing a swarm of creatures emerging from the dark.
Win10 build came in a couple minutes late, but if you feel like checking it out anyway, here is the link: https://github.com/borodust/notalone-thriced/releases/download/v1.0.0/notalone-t...
Some might see a black screen while music is playing upon game start with this win build. I found what's the issue was. I'll post a link to fixed build a bit later.
