Pretty fun and interesting concept! I built a very wonky castle that went to the edge of the screen, I'm also glad the game let you build sideways. I like the theremin-style music, and the change when the Great One shows up. Also like that he's silhouetted, fits more with the unfathomable theme.

I did manage to "merge" some blocks together somehow, and the tentacles are giving out too many top pieces I feel, I think having to exchange a few for decorations is cool, but I had to exchange 10 or so before getting back to some squares at one point.

Thanks!

That's good feedback. If I work more on this, I'll have to sit down and have a think about the frequency of different blocks. You're right that it's easy (and frustrating) to get stuck with too many that you can't use, especially the roof parts.

Looks good, feels good, fun concept, love myself some building in a game! I especially like the sequence where the great one arrives, nails the atmosphere very nicely. I also liked the flock of birds, and the birds occasionally settling on the roof, and the fact that one gets rid of pieces by giving the to the birds rather than the more obvious solution of throwing them in the sea. Very nice touches that greatly enhances the sense of polish. Good work for sure, with just the right amount of scope for a jam entry.

Some nits: the controls were a bit flakey, I was frequently be unable to pick up the pieces from the tentacles, clicks just didn't seem to register. Same with dropping off the unwanted building at the top, nothing would happen, with no explanation. The latter issue served to aggravate the problem that roof tiles would stack up from early on, frequently leaving me with only a single non-roof tile to pick from. Maybe tweak the frequency as the height increases?

Thanks. Gifting things to the crows was a last minute addition, before that you did throw them back into the ocean. I'm glad you liked that change.

That is all good feedback, thanks. I had thought about changing frequencies based on what blocks are missing/already in the castle but I never sat down to do it. I think you're right that it would be worth doing that to make the building process feel less frustrating.

Absolutely love this game. Very good job, congratulations!

For some reason I had the opposite experience that it worked in FireFox (not latest testing branch) and not in Chrome. Either way though, the concept of the game is great and it felt very polished! Not super spooky but I still enjoyed it :)

Ah, when I skim back over the issues about firefox on the bevy tracker it looks like it only effects linux, I thought it was more general. That's nice, though sad it didn't run on chrome. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
