How does your game represent "Power"?
You have to manage the power of your ship while powering your systems in the pursuit of political and financial power. Also the ^ carrot is, like, everywhere.

The concept is really cool! I felt a bit lost because I was maxed out on upgrades but didn't really progress the story because I couldn't find a grabber... I managed to kill some of the shooters but that also didn't progress the story :( (I think I took so long to figure out the proper controls, that the grabber that I saw at the start of the game was too far away to be rendered). I think giving the enemies a maximum Range of where they are allowed to go or a marker that shows how far a point of interest is would be great!
All in all I really liked the Alien design and the overall charm of the game! The way you allocate your power reminded me a lot of FTL and the combat with the shooters was difficult but still fun :)
Thanks for checking it out! FTL was the first thing that came to mind when I heard power! Throw in a lil enviro-bear and that's pretty much what I was aiming for :D
That was one of the bugs I found after submission :'( I had to refactor the entire location/fake-3D system on the last day and forgot to flip a sign for mob patrols... That meant that the mobs would establish a home base and then immediately just... float directly away from it. Oops. Another bug made Grabbers immortal, though, so... probably best that you didn't find one anyway.
If you want to check it out, I have a version with fewer bugs linked on the game page. Not for the jam, of course, but it includes the final two quests that you get after killing a grabber, plus a happy ending :)
I really like the setup and ideas here, take it from one game creator about a bald, green, grunting guy to another. I think the progression might be a little slow but I liked experimenting with all the levers and handles, including the mirror lol
Thanks for taking a look! Us BGGGs gotta stick together.
Such a cool setup and game! With all the switches and stuff, interacting was fun, so nice, and the mirror lol! Liked the characters and presentation as well. Didn't realize all the things you could interact with at first but I soon figured it out (the brake for example). A little annoying when the shooty guys sneak up on you and I ended up in a spawn kill loop where one shot me at spawn and just span around the spawn.
Difficult and challenging for one's patience, can't say I got very far but really cool, fun setup, and it even has progression! Well done.
Thanks for checking it out! Sorry you got spawn-camped by the big shooty fella. He's toxic.
