How does your game represent "Power"?
The player character needs to get more powerful to overcome obstacles and climb high to reach the end of each level. There is a literal "Power" meter that fills when you collect protein shakes and the end goal is for Cliff to retrieve all his golden dumbbells - y'know, a thing that when used increases a person's power.

This game was very unique and challenging in a fun way

This game was wild and took some serious getting used to. You do get the hang of it at a steady pace as the levels continue to grow more difficult, elaborate, and complex! Some of the stages feel a little insane as you make progress and I kind of wish there was maybe a button to allow movement without grabbing...

The art is nice, the opening cutscene was silly, gameplay is very creative! Nicely done! :O

I thought this was really fun. Also super challenging haha. Never played a game quite like it

Tough as nails and really fun!

Ton of charm here, loved seeing the meme of the guy with the remote and beer in the intro cinematic, and for some reason the jump animation is really funny to me. Also really interesting control scheme, reminds me of Bennet Foddy games without the rage inducing aspect. This has a lot of potential!

I love the concept and control scheme. Also the moonwalk you can perform on landing (don't remove pls). Amazing job.

Fun idea, and fun presentation.  Unfortunately the controls needed a little more polish, I think.  The transition between climbing and not-climbing left things feeling a bit jarring.  I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do with the rock in the tutorial level D: It would attach to my hand, then disappear, then be there, then not, and I'd ultimately just drop it on the ground by falling down.

Yeah sorry, that mechanic is not clearly explained, my bad. Here's what I told another commenter who had the same problem:

The idea is to grip with the first hand near the pile (either left or right hand is fine, as long as the other hand makes contact with the pile during the rotation), and when the second hand is over the pile, press and hold the button to grip with the second hand. Release the button for the second hand to throw the rock.

You can also use the skip level button or level select to check out the other levels if you want :)

Really inventive control scheme and lovely art. Enjoyed the Bennett Foddy energy of this as well. Well done!

I do love quirky control schemes! This has shades of "GIRP" from Bennett Foddy, well done

What a well made game. I can't belive this make by one person. Very impressive!

Great concept! Love the cinematics, it's clear you had a ton of making this! Well done

Very fun game, very powerful. Some of those levels were really tricky with the awkward controls. I appreciate just how many levels were included here -- loved that freefall level at the end. The cinematics were great.

Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!

This is really well done! The climbing mechanic is unique and constantly built upon so it never feels stale.

Very charming game.
The Intro cinematic, music, levels. All clearly made with love for the craft.
Do wish I could jump when grabbing with both hands as I tried to do this a lot instinctively.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! If you mean the space bar jump move, you should be able to do that when grabbing with both hands, just tried it myself with WASD and arrow keys and it seemed to work just fine. If that's the issue, maybe try the Windows download instead?

You're right, I must have been mistakingly pressing the up-key because it does work with space.

What a tragic backstory this poor man has... Loved the intro though, and the climbing mechanic works well! Only problem I had was that close to edges of climbable surfaces, it's hard to do the upward dash. Aside from that, great job!

Nicely animated intro! The rock climbing feels difficult but learnable - it is fun to try and master it... Im hanging in there (hehe)

That intro animation is awesome. It took me a while to get any feel for the controls, but once I did I was locked in. Cool mechanics that I haven't seen before. Good job!

Nice work on that animated intro! Takes a bit to get used to the swing into launch technique But once I got it the rhythm of the climb was groovin'!

Submitted(+1)

i haven't seen such a creative movement system in a while! really good

Submitted(+1)

Very nice game! The climbing mechanic is so unique! Excelent job!

The intro animation is also super lit! How did you guys made it?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I drew up all the character/object sprites and backgrounds for each shot of the intro cutscene, then animated them together in Unity using its animation pipeline.

Cool! Thanks for the reply.

And again, congrats, amazing job!
