This is a really cool simple fast-paced shooter and fits Game Jam theme well. Though you mixed up the buttons: usually Z is for jumping and X is for shooting. Visuals are nice, but music feels a bit repetitive. The game is short and that's fine, it still was fun to play :)

The graphics and music is really great. Especially the art is some of the best iv'e seen this jam. I also really like the idea.
But, for beeing a platformer / shooter your character moves very slowly and the bullets move kinda like ballons instead of bullets / lazers. Therefore i feel like the game is a bit of a chore to play sometimes. But, if the mechanics were polished a bit and there were maybe a couple other levels to play with, i think it could be a really fun game.
Thanks for your feedback!, yes, it is very slow but for the short part of the game somehow besides the shooting range try to add difficulty, but i will try to improve it in the next game!
Nice Work! This game is fun to play, but I think, you should change the jump button into space bar or up arrows. It's also would be nice to have auto shoot when holding the z button.
thanks!, the input keys is like this because i think in old games when they emulate old joysticks with buttons "A" and "B", and i put the auto shoot at first time but the game is so short and enemys life is poor so i put the shoot per press with the low range for add more dificult!

Love that you put bugs and game tester in the threat level for the game xD
The sprite animations and the sprite effects for shooting are just beautiful.It really captures the coding spirit,in the game you're slow and you can only deal with one bug at a time,so props for realism.

Cool idea :) Nice spin on a defense game, I found an unfortunate bug (or is it a feature) One of the big bugs ground pounded me outside the level and I was left unable to do anything while bugs swarmed into my game, I'd have made a video of it if I'd had my screencap software open! Other than that it was a lot of fun!

Perfect arcade feel! syncing my jump with the enemies to kill them last minute, spamming z, the difficulty curve was just right, getting used to the input layout again, i like it! perfect sfx too

I found the bugs scary! I liked the jumping AI. The colour change was a really good way of communicating damage. Nice work
