Nice submission. IMO the game would look better with some powerups and stuff, but it's fun to play as it is. I really liked how you approached the theme. The text, the lines, the completion bar - looks cool. And the cursor crosshair turning when you shoot - wow, that is a really cool looking touch.
This was superfun to play, and I love how the risk-of-rain style gameplay is integrated with your game compiling. I also love that you don't have to restart from the beginning, and that the game has this forgiving mechanic that allows you to play on an on, which is great for a gamejam. My main issue would be more feedback when hitting enemies / getting hit. Shooting at enemies doesn't feel very gratifying because nothing happens, and at one point they disappear. I want explosions!! :) :) I think even just a little flash of the sprite would help a lot to see if you hit or miss. Great stuff, really enjoyable, and the sprites and powerup icons are great.
Yes, I do quite like Risk of Rain. And I totally agree with the juice thing. I was just running low on time and energy so I didn't polish it as much as I wanted too. But, to make up for this, I am planning to update the game when I can upload again: I will add healthbars for the enemies, a sound effect for them being hit, a death animation, and possibly a slight rebalence to make them a little less tanky.
Update: I have completed the changes and have implemented all of these things. Just waiting to upload.
This game is really fun and creative! I liked the overall gameplay, but I think it would be nice if the habilities had less cooldown or the enemies had less life.

Had the foundation of a bullethell shooter. Would have liked maybe some powerups? And more juice :) Lots more juice. Well done on making a game.
You know, I always suspected my compiler was doing something along these lines whenever I compile my code. I'm glad you pulled back the curtain for us to show how it really works!
Really fun take on the theme with really good sprites. I caught myself looking for Easter eggs on the code. hahaha (:
This is a clean game with classic but efficient gameplay.
Levels are a bit redundant though. Maybe with enemies with less life, this game would be more juicy and fast paced.
