Glad to hear you had fun!

We're not sure if this will become a full project. But I'm already working at least in a post-jam patch with some fixes and tweaks, so I'll take these into consideration. More frequent races is definitely something we'll experiment with, since it is the most engaging part of the loop.

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it. :)

Thank you!! We were sure aiming for maximum silliness as soon as we had the idea for illegal vegetable racing lol.
About the visuals, I've been playing so much UFO 50 lately, so I was really hyped to make something in an 8-bit aesthetic.
Glad you liked it!

Thank you for the feedback! We're really glad people are enjoying it.
I think community winner might be too ambitious 😅 there are so many great entries in this jam.
But I appreciate the kind words. :)

Glad you like it!
We actually intended to limit the steroids or add a downside to it, but I think in the end we forgot about it after working on other parts of the game. And yeah, the balancing is could definitely use a bit more of iteration, we'll for sure take another look at it.
Thanks for your feedback. :)

Thanks for the kind words!
I actually thought about adding an endless mode, but never got to implement it, so it's funny that it is there in bug form lol.
But we'll work on fixing those issues in a post-jam patch, thanks for reporting them!

Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, looks like we have a lot of thing to fix in a post-jam patch. 😅

Really cool concept! Turn-based racing is a really cool idea, once you pick up speed things get pretty hectic, so you have to learn when to slow down to be able to make the turns.
Liked it a lot! :)

Really cool entry! The cinematic in the beginning looks amazing and it's such a nice touch to have the characters speaking too! Great job :)

Loved this entry! One of my favorites so far, short and sweet just like a jam game should be.
I really like PICO-8 games, the graphics area adorable and it really captured the MINIT vibes. :)

Pretty cool entry! I could see myself playing for more levels if you decide to add them in the future! :)

Pretty cool entry, had a lot of fun with this game!
Made me wish I could just run my way to a vacation right now. :)

Really fun game! Loved the cute pixel art, had a great time with it, pretty challenging but since the levels are short you don't lose a lot of progress after dying. I'd just like for the predator to be a bit slower, because a single mistake would always mean certain death.
Overall great entry still!

A good boy that goes fast and saves souls is truly a goodest boy :)

Had a really great time with this entry!

Short and sweet, the graphics are amazing, the use of the "4 Color Palette" made this so charming, with the dithering for shadows.

Also, seconding what everyone else is saying: the comic book style intro looks AMAZING! Excellent work :)

Really great entry! Had tons of fun playing it.
The visuals are stellar and "4 Color Palette" diversifier made it extra charming. The implementation of the "Mouse Only" made for very unique controls, I feel like I had to rewire my brain to play it and I had a lot of fun doing that.
Also the chicken sound effect when you get hit is really the cherry on top on what was already a pretty sweet experience. :)

Thank for the comment!

Races happen every 6th day of the week, but that’s only really shown to the player in the calendar screen as a green mark under the dates.

Maybe that’s something we can improve in a post-jam patch. I’m glad you had fun at the races!

Thanks for playing!

I hope you had fun at the racing grounds :)

Thanks for the kind words!

As soon as we reached this concept for the game during the initial brainstorm we were sold. Executing it was a bit of a rocky road, I have to say. But it’s nice to hear that someone enjoyed the final product. Also, props for the two times champion Cozy, not all vegetables live long enough for that feat!

Thanks for the feedback!

We did struggle to figure out how to convey how to play the game to the player. And in the end we weren’t able to manage finishing all the systems we had in place while also implementing a proper tutorial. So the help button was the common ground we found.

But I’ve now added information about the help button and changed the font to a more readable one, the old one was indeed hard to read.

That's a very interesting take on a rhythm game. Loved it! Really wished there was more content, because honestly I could lose an entire day to a game like this. :)

Really cool concept! I feel like this even has the potential to become something bigger, like a Not For Broadcast of sorts. Anyway, really cool take on the theme! :)

Very challenging! I had to unlock a part of my brain to be able to survive longer than 10 seconds haha ((:

Looks amazing and sounds great! I can see this expanded into a full game I'd play. :)

Really cool concept! It took me some time to understand it, but after that I enjoyed my time with it. :)

Thanks for the comment!
Yeah, we noticed that something was broken with the scoring right after the deadline :/

But it should be fixed now! (:

Thanks dude! I really appreciate it!

The level was something I kept pushing until 30 minutes before the deadline, I wanted to make it bigger, but I panicked when I realized I had 5 minutes to upload a build haha.

I also wanted to add a toast message saying "nice moves" or something like that when you make a flip, but yeah I had no time to figure out how to detect a flip ;-;

But thanks for reaching out, it really made my day.

The core game mechanic is a lot of fun, the art is as cute as it can get and the music is just vibes through and through. Loved it! :))

Cool idea for a game mechanic, and you guys really nailed the win98 aesthetic. (:

whoa, I was definitely not expecting voice over. The art style is amazing too!! great job. :)

Loved the mini-games and how well they fit in the theme, the writing had some good puns as well. :))

Really enjoyed this game! It also got a few laughs out of me with the different sprites for the character and the sound effects!

I didn't manage to get into heaven, but had fun trying. Also I hate this Crowley guy, haha. (:

Interesting mechanic. The other enemy types really caught me off-guard. :)

Por a resolução do meu PC ser baixa eu perco parte da tela e não to conseguindo jogar. Tem como fazer habilitar pra dar resize na tela? :(

Parece ser bem top, to empolgadão pra jogar.

EDIT: Esse é o problema. D:

Thanks for commenting.  (:

Yeah, I agree. I was crunching in my spare time to finish this game in time for the jam, didn't have enough time to playtest it correctly.

I never touched it since though, might come back to it one day, improve the controls and add some new levels.

Whoa, really cool concept. I loved the whole idea of evolving your game, especially the initial part where you have to choose between graphics and movement. The graphics are also really cool and I liked the boss fight. (:

Really fun take on the theme with really good sprites. I caught myself looking for Easter eggs on the code. hahaha (:

Really loved that the bugs are actual ladybugs. hahaha (:
