great concept! love how natural the difficulty escalates. maybe try and make the ais pathfinding better but overall really fun!

cool idea, but almost no reason to fight (it gives only a malus). Maybe this fun mechanichs of "duplication" can give to the player some "power", or to "find the vaccine" you have to kill a certain number of enemies.

interesting concept, but I think the idea needs further exploration before it works. I understand that the high score gives you a reason to shoot enemies, but apart from that you are heavily punished for your one interaction with enemies which is a bit strange... maybe if the setting or theme was changed slightly, and you were maybe a henchman for an evil genius so it was your job to actually raise the numbers of the virus or something like that.
But maybe I could change if I have time. That instead of virus being "Killed'. It says Virus total? or Virus Duplicated.
And indeed give it a wicked scientist vibe to it :P Hmm probably find some time in between work.
Somehow I died with 2 hearts left... is it because I'm swarmed by enemies? Any way an interesting concept. Wish to have more strategy element in it.
Thanks for trying the game, jeah I haven't figured out what the problem is. Whenever an enemy collides with you, you lose a heart. So maybe because you got overwhelmed it took two but didn't display it quick enough.
This is a fun strangely addictive game although I have some issues . You get killed from 1 touch of them it would be great if you had 3 heath or something to help you like power ups or something. The player slides randomly and the player rotates around the centre of the sprite not the player. Great job this was fun to play!!
You think it might be a good one to make the centre around the sprite then? Health(With a period of invulnerability) and or power ups might be a good idea. Thanks
Changed some stuff around, with health added as u suggested and some power ups. You wanna check it again? :)
Yeah I feel that added a bit more to it and players now have the ability to get much higher scores. You fixed the bugs I found. Good job!
Also After Playing around a bit more. I like the more open map and the new enemy placements. also you fixed a bug i forgot to report. originally the aiming of the character was way off from the mouse but now it works fine. thanks for taking my suggestions and good luck on the rest of the jam!!
If you are a beginner, this is very well made, especially for being released 4 days, 12 hours before the deadline. There were a few bugs I encountered and if this was made in Unity I could definitely help you fix those.
1. When I bumped into walls, my character started sliding.
2.Sometimes the enemies would be pushed by the others into walls. Effectively walking through walls.
Other than that, good game 6/10!
