That was fun :D I liked how you used projectiles they stick to walls behave like a platforms its really cool. My only problem was the music it gets repetetive pretty fast :/ Despite the bugs i enjoyed this one good job :D

Note : I would be happy if you could check out my game as well :d

There were a lot of bugs but I think the main problem might be that you didn't use composite collider 2D on your tilemap (If you made this in Unity). That might have fixed many things. Still, I would say that the 1-bit graphics looked really good and the cutscenes were a nice touch. Thanks for submitting this.

I would really appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well. Thanks a lot! Cheers!!

Great job! I really like the minimalist graphics. The cut scenes were a nice touch. Nice game.

It's a challenging platformer with a really neat idea. It could have been much better if there were "mini" potions to consume in the way as checkpoints. Coyote frames and a faster jumping/moving time could help a lot with the platforming segments but overall, it was a pretty good game!

Developer

My game does have coyote jumping, but it might be too small ( it scales up to 0,35 seconds ) for how fast the game is. Thanks for playing and giving me the mini potions idea.

love the simple pixel style! i only got to the 3rd level before quitting, its doable to beat, just certain thing kept me from playing, the music, was great at first listen, but the, it got repetetive too fast, and i got annoyed, second are the controls, it wasn't the best, there were times i wanted to jump higher and my character would not jump any higher, i found it weird to have to press S to decrease his gravity faster, like I would get it if I was underwater, or in space, would of been good to just have it done already for you, in this case, the time is also unfair, i get it that for you this wasn't an issue, when making the game, but for Game jams you always have to make your games easier, for those ( people who aren't good at platforms...like me lol) like it you wanted you could of made a " HARD MODE" and this would have been it, then make a easier mode, with slower time. for us folk lol. overall good game,

Good game overall! as a 1-bit game, the art is pretty good. One thing is sometimes(especially the first time) when you die, the restart text is overlaps with the wall and hard to read. Another thing is I don't quite like it force me to stop at the place to teach me to jump. I'll get stuck if I don't jump later, but stuck me before that will only waste the time.

One last thing.. the level is so hard for someone who is not good at platformer :'( I guess it's my problem though...

Developer

Hello.

Firstly, thanks for playing.

About the restart text, it's kind of hard to make UI stuff in 1 Bit games, as I only have two colors. This restart text problem also applies to the timer. What I should have done is: change the text and the timer/slider color based on their position on the world so the text can actually be seen or make UI have a different color. My bad, sorry.

About the thing that you said that I made you get stuck, I did not. The tilemap was extremely glitched and the collisions were slightly wrong, but those little mistakes caused the player to get stuck sometimes. Again, my bad, sorry.

Regarding the levels being hard, maybe you and everyone who played this game are just bad at platformers, but I doubt that's the case. My game is most likely, again, too hard for a game jam game.

Thanks again for playing and leaving feedback. I appreciate it very much.

Nice game. Timer is pretty fast, most levels I finish with no time left. Good artstyle and colors. Well done!

Submitted(+1)

Cool game,  but i think timer is to fast.

The music is very repetitive. It's great fun and nice gameplay overall, but the music really drives you insane. Other than that, it's a pretty solid and good game. And i LOVE the animation for the sprite, I don't know what it is, but that player sprite jumps really beautifully.

i would have played more but the music! I would have went insane if i didn't quit sorry i wasn't able to play much of it.

please make the arrows and movement a little bit better overall its a good game

Submitted(+1)

Very nice idea, I would work on the movement controls and also on the music, as these two didn't feel quite polish and made the experience less enjoyable in my particular case. Keep it up!

Developer

Hello.

Firstly, thanks for playing.

Regarding the movement, how do you think I could improve?

Regarding the music, I know it's my fault, but my musician decided to not make music for me this time.

Thanks again for playing and sorry about those problems.

It's fine overall, but there are a few glaring issues that make it not very enjoyable. First of all, the physics are very annoying, making every death feel a bit unfair, and starting with such a low jump height really hurts the experience. The difficulty curve is also definitely not balanced, the third level is absurdly difficult. The music is nice but I got sick of it quite quickly, maybe a longer loop would help with that.

Developer

Fair.

Oh wow, sorry, I just saw I forgot to add the positive part at the end! I wanted to add that the concept is really nice and the art style is really cute and engaging. It's overall fine, but again, has a few big issues. Sorry again haha

Submitted(+1)

Very nice! The artstyle is great, but the jittering caused me to close it before i could finish it, so i cant give you a full review, sorry. The movement wasnt so great, but you made up for it in different areas of the game - very simple but good rules, straight to the point. Overall, I enjoyed it!

Developer

Hello.

Firstly, thanks for playing.

Secondly, sorry about the jittering. For some reason, the unity sprite atlas was not working.

Regarding the movement, what do you think can improve?

Submitted

Im no pro, but i think your character is too floaty, then maybe adding some acceleration/deceleration? Not sure about the second one

Submitted(+1)

Nice project, I especially enjoyed the quick no-nonsense introduction slides with their fun illustrations! Your restart mechanic was also great as it removed any frustration over loosing.

Like the commenter below I found the third level a little too hard after breezing through the previous two, so could be worth reordering or adding in some more levels between. I think the issue was that it relied on a different version of the mechanic that we hadn't really used yet (jumping higher after waiting).

I also found the music loop a little too short, so it started to get to me when I kept failing haha.

But love the concept and style and could definitely see this being fleshed out into a really fun quickfire experience.

Developer

hey. Thanks mate! Glad you liked the illustrations. Regarding the 3rd level, what mechanic are you talking about? And by 3rd level are you counting the tutorial? About the music, I Just put some random stuff on Bosca Ceoil lol.

Submitted(+1)

god i wish i could pass the 3rd level, im so bad xD

nice level design! it felt challenging and you have an interesting mechanic. art is also simple but great

Developer

Thanks for playing, m8. Tip: if you press S you fast-fall. This really helps on the 3rd and 2nd level.
