Very creative concept! Switching cars with different stats GTA-style in the middle of a sidescrolling chase is an interesting application of "self-destruction".
In addition to the keyboard bug verysoftwares mentioned, one time I hit a bug where the helicopter's attack sound effect never stopped and every vehicle I saw instantly exploded even though there wasn't an attack visible. Also, I once got both a game-over screen and a win screen together, maybe because I was doing just the right amount of damage to the helicopter at the same moment it reached the bridge.
what an action-packed game! somehow, the W key would not work in a vehicle, only the Z key.

I LOVED THIS GAME ! The art is great and fits well, the concept of switching vehicles is very original… you even had time to add a story, and it works ! You did an amazing job.
Note: in your uploaded files, you should check the box to indicate the current file is for windows. It would help people find your game and would allow people using the Itch app to install and play your game with a single click ^^

Nice game, I like the idea of changing the car when was destroyed. Sometimes I was not able to move up and down after changing the car. I was able to kill the first boss but not the second.
