Great idea. I like it, but bullets need to travel further,

Developer

Hi! Sorry I didn't make it more clear, but the game is designed so that the bullets travel further the longer you hold the space key. Please try it again!

I really enjoyed this game, I think it would be better if bullets flew away further. I think that your bullets get destroyed as soon as colliding with a tank, so you could give a monsters a new tag, and check in code for collision if bullets are colliding with monster tag (so the tank's collider doesn't kill the bullets).

Hi! Thanks for playing my game. Your comment was very informative! However, the bullets weren't despawning when they collided with the tank, the game is designed so that the bullets travel further the longer you hold the space key. Please try it again!

Oh, that's cool, but unfortunately it wasn't very obvious how the bullets are designed, I was just trying to help :)

Since it is kinda hard but it's a good game. I love your art.

I like the minimal visuals and the color limitation in this game.  However, both colors can be hard to differentiate.  Good game overall :)

Developer

Thanks for playing the game! I love that you noticed the color limitation, it was something I put a lot of thought into. I agree that the colors kind of blend together, if I make any future builds I'll make sure to make the colors more different.

Has a potential to be great tower defense game. The music is uplifting and fun, visuals are simple yet it communicates, menu and transitions are also very neat and clean. I guess the only unforgiving part would be enemies can approach at a time where your rotation is not fast enough to shoot them in time. Other than than still very challening yet fun!

BRUTALLY hard! Love the one bit color scheme, but I found it almost impossible to survive for more then 10 seconds :p Could you play my game too? https://itch.io/jam/boundless-game-jam/rate/1104146

This is fun, but it takes too long to turn for me to kill more than one enemy. Which is a shame because this could have been a very fun high score game.

Developer

Thanks for playing the game, I found yours to be very fun. Did you try double-tapping to rotate the cannon? That was a mechanic I implemented so players could shoot enemies faster. If you didn't, I encourage you to play again with the double-tap as it adds a lot of depth to the game!

Thanks for the tip! This is way funner now!

I dont know. This type of games were really common in the jam so I cant really give you points on that. I think that the art was fun and colourful and the aesthetic was overall pleasing. The gameplay in other hand was quite clunky and hard to understand. Still it is a jam game so it is normal for these kind of things to happen. Still I am really proud that you submitted in time <3
