How does your game fit the theme?
In the game you have to increase your madness level (dive deeper into madness) by using your revolver to land hits on your enemy to increase your damage potential. You have to follow up your revolver shots with guns that do more damage fast before your madness level decreases

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
99% of the code was written by me except a dither shader and a vertex wobble shader. All the models are made by me except the heart used for the health bar which was made by neshallads on sketchfab. Sound/music is from pixabay and freesounds.com.

I really loved the looks of the game! The shaders were amazing and overall the game fit the theme pretty well, a pause menu would also be nice but that's the only thing I lacked.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Very good game! The visuals are awesome and you choose well the music. The only that i would suggest is to make to combat mechanic more clear, on the tutorial you only have the plataformer info and that's it.

Absolutely loved this game and its style and comedy. Some suggestions I have for the game:

  • Maybe a clearer tutorial and including a simple boss to fight, as well as explaining how the madness meter works.
  • The option to go back to the tutorial level from the main menu
  • A pause menu
  • Making the bosses easier and more clear as to how to defeat

If you decide to update this game in the future, I would love to play it again! It is a really cool idea and I would love to fight more bosses, talk to characters, and parkour more!

Definitely valid criticism. My idea was to add a simple bossfight with some weaker enemies at the end of the tutorial(to explain the madness mechanic) but making the other bossfights took a lot of time so the tutorial was kind of rushed. I might update the game in the future but it's most likely not gonna happen because I am already in the middle of working on another game.

I love the aesthetic and meta comedy, but I feel like the bosses have too much health, since I can't see the health bars going down, and I got really confused going into a boss battle because there were no lower level enemies to fight off, and you start the game with all of your weapons. Sometimes there was this performance bug where whenever I move or turn the framerate drops to around 5 fps and returns to normal when I stand still. This only seems to happen half the time though. I would also like to look all the way down so I don't have to turn around to not lose all my momentum when rocket jumping. I think the only other thing is to increase the FOV and add a small bit more midair movement control. I do weirdly love the world and the random characters in it, and I think that this would do really well as a bigger game. With more stuff to do, I would sink many hours into it.

Thanks for your feedback :) You have to use your madness mechanic to do damage when fighting bosses which is explained in the tutorial. I hope that helps just in case you wanna give it another try

Awesome game! I really love the art style, and it's cool to see another person who uses Unreal Engine lol. The fourth wall breaks and other jokes were hilarious and I really liked the overall insane vibe of the game. The camera shakes were a bit disorienting, and the fov felt a bit too zoomed in, but overall I really loved it! Really good job!

Thanks for your feedback :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will most likely increase the fov or add an fov slider as soon as the jam is over
