A fun and very well made little game. The visuals is really good, and there is a great use of music and sound effects. Overall a good jam game. Well done

Ok , the static effect is really cool it ads a lot together with the sound. Look into particles to make is more epic(This also helps with feeling less slow ). Cage in the dept is nicely done.

hope the feedback helps you ( its not ment as critics)

It was a good game as everyone said

The visual and sound you nailed it, but a felt the movemente speed of the chracter was slower than it should wich made the exploration feel boring at some times

Even with the mushroms i felt lost overral on where should i go and what was i doing
Even so it was a great exxperience

I pretty much agree with what everyone else is saying
Audio and visuals, especially the static effect are amazing, give it a great eerie vibe to the game

Also thought the use of glowing mushrooms to indicate pickups was good creatively, it naturally lead the player over there instead of forcing them.

Issues i had were that the compass at the top seemed somewhat unclear as to whether or not it was pointing to anything? I ended up following it and just found nothing

Also its unclear what to do with the parts once you pick them up, i went back to the crashed sub but couldn't seem to do anything with them?

Thanks for your feedback and appreciations! :D
Yeah we choose to avoid texts and overlay as much as possible and we hoped the player was curious enough to explore all the place that mushrooms suggest.. U had to take every part in every stage (3 for the first one, 4 for the second one) to go further in the game.. Once u collect every part needed, there's a cut in the footage and the game continue.. :)

I really enjoyed the story elements between the diving sections, I felt sad when I saw the final piece. Was the father scarred forever by his diving experience, or is the diving experience a metaphor for addiction? I wish I could go a little faster sometimes but found the controls overall well-made. I like the change in movement for the final sequence and the accompanying sounds, it gave weight to the final section. If there was more time I think more could be added to the world design and more mushrooms or lichen would have been really cool. Maybe rocks and kelp if this does get worked on more afterwards.

I also really like the sound design and the choice of using the VHS filter. I think a music track with a slow build-up could be an interesting addition, and I think more could be done with the monster in the final section. Maybe more hints of movement visually in the distance before the attack (If there was already visual signals, I may have just missed them).

Thank you so much for the thorough feedback, really appreciated! We're aware of some of the things you said, but as you might expect there was a balance to find with the time ahah We wanted to keep the game as light as possible, that's why the few mushrooms and lack on details (and in part for the time too), but we totally thought about that.
Narratively we were into the metaphor a lot and we had it in mind during the development but of course the game is open to personal interpretations! Thank you again for playing and for the feedback! :)

Cool game, the graphics are amazing! I think the sound design also really sold the creepy vibe. I did have an issue with the static effect being only in the top left of the screen, but this is probably because I'm on an ultrawide monitor with a weird resolution. Overall, good job with the game!

Yeah I have a 21:9 monitor too and we realized the issue really too late, sad :( That's part of the challenge I guess ahaha
Thank you so much for your feedback! :)
