I liked the chiptune background music in Art and camera work!
Nice work!
Solid Game
Pros:
-Games art style is very reformed, everything look like it belongs.
-Simple controls, Good to have, keeping it simple is better for more inexperienced players
-Progression is good to see near the end. To be able to return to the other levels.
-Quick game play, nice and quick to get into and to play. finished the game in a few minutes and am feeling satisfied with finishing it.
-Good music! It may only be 1 song but it fits well. I hope your composer is happy with it.
-A VOLUME SLIDER WOO! This is always nice to have plus the menus way of depicting the slider graphically is fantastic.
Cons:
-When the text pops up it stops you moving, this halts game play, perhaps maybe allow the player to walk around slowly while its up or to click once the skip the text animation and then click a second time to skip the whole dialog.
-Controls for jumping overlap, so if you press "W" and "Space" at the same time you jump twice on the same frame so you have a double jump with allows you to skip some platforms (not sure if this is intentional)
-(more of a nitpick) Pause menu slider has no background so i didn't realize it was a slider and jump scared myself by turning the volume to max.
Conclusion:
Fantastic work!. Game is super polished and looks great ta'boot. Really has the possibility to become a full fledged game in the future if not for just being a game jam game. Good impressions all around! Wish you luck in the votings!
Wow very cool you took the time to write all this.
Pros
- We were really lucky to find wonderful artists! Made a big difference in the project!
Cons
- Agreed text is way too hard to read during gameplay (Too small, logic works but shouldn't mess to much with it :D ...).
- Didn't know about the jumping overlap :D I think you are the first to find about it. Ooops :D and no wasn't intentional.
- Good to know for the pause menu was added really quickly :D
Thanks a lot for the detailed review!
Hey! Composer here, I definently had alot of fun with it! Thank you very much as well for taking the time to write all this out!
This was very well made! I loved the music and the art. The last level was a little difficult for me due to the jumps; the controls were personally a bit too sensitive for me. Overall, really good game!
Glad you liked it. Yeah a little bit more polish on the physics would have made some levels less frustrating. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback! We agree the controls are a bit difficult but we're glad you liked it despite this!
Loved the art, music, and interpretation of the theme. Wish the controls were just a *tiny* bit more forgiving. Nice work!
Thanks a lot!
Nice little platformer. I found the controls a touch too sensitive for my liking. Those landing on one block next to spikes jumps were a little more annoying than challenging in my opinion. But other than that. The art was cool. The gameplay was fun. The story was excellent.
Nice work.

P.S. Also, I loved the name for the game. ;)
Thanks a lot! Some of the physics needs some improvements I agree. Glad you liked it!
