How does your game fit the theme?
Every ingame day, the world inside of the door gets randomised, including the ore spawns, tree spawns and plant spawns, so the player's run relies on what's behind the door.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

I'm also in the jam, and I know with more time everyone has a list of things they'd like to add or wanted to add. I try to provide the listed feedback in a constructive form to highlight different perspectives as a player and to show that I indeed did play the game.

  • So much added in a week here. I don't know if the inventory system came from a pre-built library/plugin system, but wow a lot added for a week jam.
  • The initial day takes too long to complete the game loop and provide feedback to the player. It is a lot of time commitment to know if I would like the game.
  • While there is a tutorial, I didn't play it. It took me a bit to figure out how to interact with the game.
  • The switching between worlds transition was very awkward sometimes I could end up in the same world without going to the other one.
  • I would reduce scope to spend more time on polish

All these points are very valid and we agree with them

I think the game was too big and too complex. I think that focusing on a smaller, simpler and more polished slice of the game could have  been better.

Interesting game! A little polishing and it'll be a huge game with huge gameplay! Great job!

A super ambitious game. You did a good job!

Love the door transition effect
