How does your game fit the theme?
Every ingame day, the world inside of the door gets randomised, including the ore spawns, tree spawns and plant spawns, so the player's run relies on what's behind the door.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

Nice idea for a game

                         💫 Great concept  💫

The entire idea and concept behind this is great. I wish you had more time to polish everything and implement all the ideas it seems like you have. Lots of things to do, but little direction (outside of the tutorial), as well as resources being a bit far out of the way (I thought the world was broken/empty until i kept moving for a bit)

The audio is wonderful, and the door effect is really cool, however i found myself being stuck on a white screen sometimes?

Overall good work. I see the idea, keep it up.

I think you getting stuck on the white door is because you stopped moving inside the door. You have to sort of walk through the door and keep walking until you reach the other side. We probably were going to do an interact system to make it easier, but we implemented that system at the start and didn't have time to change it. Also the resources are far out of the way as there is a circle around the door where no resources can spawn, which can be a bit annoying, and we should've made it smaller. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game with many things to do!

I like the defense idea of this game! The game itself is fun when trying to craft, gather resources, and fight some of the zombie types! I also like the RNG of the resources! Good job on this one!

I'm going to be talking a lot about the graphics because I really enjoy them! I love the simplicity, but  it also works for how much interaction can be done with all of the world.  The highlight of the graphics, in my opinion, is definitely the door itself and the transition of going from one world to the other. NGL I spent a good amount of in game time just going back and forth haha. The tutorial really helps you understand what controls are bound to what and overall I love the concept of resource gathering to defend later on! Really great game!!!

I like the concept of going to one world to gather resources and bringing them back to another world to use for a defensive game. Neat transition for going through the door, I wonder if you could add some effects so that it is more than a bright white light?

Love the world changing mechanics where you'd pass from on world to another through the door! mining and craft fun can never grow old. Good job!

I found I was traveling quite far to get materials and not seeing much to keep track of where I had been.
It was still a great good and I loved the music.

An interesting idea, the game was delayed, the soundtrack is good, pixel art will go, thanks for the tutorial, otherwise I didn't understand anything without it, good job!

Great idea for a game! Nicely executed. I think I agree with most of the other commenters on feedback and criticism.

I just wanted to add I loved the music!!!

Cheers, Good luck with the jam.

Great work, there’s a lot of possibilities packed into this game in form of base building, but I think it would have been nice if you simplified the gameplay loop and polished some of the player interactions.

Some notes I took:

  • The materials were very far apart, which makes the player prioritize but it means the player doesn’t immediately know which resources there are without loosing time to look at the crafting recipes. I didn’t want to waste time so I went to look for materials and did not notice there was trees until my pickaxe broke and I needed wood to repair it. I had to wait for the next day. Automatic repair at day change was a life saver!

  • The UI could use a bit of polish, since scrolling with the wheel is very slow and some interactions were a bit awkward, but overall it does the job.

  • The base build is a great mechanic, but the starting progression is a bit complicated.

It had a big scope for a week-long game jam, but it definitely shows a great base to keep building on!

This is good for beginning of the good game, you can try make more after this jam.

Great work from scratch in a week.

The game had a very large scope but it was executed very nicely which is impressive for a 1 week gamejam, I was a little confused at first but the tutorial was very nice!

There's a lot to this game, which is really great for a week's development. Nice work!

Quite a big scope for a gamejam game, but well done. The tutorial was very helpful because otherwise, I wouldn't know what to do :D

A nice survival game. There's a good amount of thought and effort put into this actually. There's a nice crafting and building system.

Really complicated, but cool that you managed to add this many things on a week game jam. Some polishing and simplifying gameplay can make this an interesting game

The door transition was very cool. Although a bit annoying a night, one fix would be to disable the door at night.
This is good foundation that you can build more onto. I was very impressed with the scale of the crafting system
