Ranked from 31 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
Very literally.

You have limited time during calm periods to hang up and dry laundry. During rainy periods you must move your laundry out the way of the rain.

As time progresses the rainy periods get worse until the full storm hits and the game ends.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly all made by me, except:

Brackeys - 2D Character Controller: https://github.com/Brackeys/2D-Character-Controller/blob/master/CharacterControl...
Cainos - Pixel Art Platformer - Village Props: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/environments/pixel-art-platformer-villa...

As fun as it is simple! Very innovative, very humorous! Love the gameplay.

pretty fun for how simple it is! I appreciate all the puns, and the funny notes in the credits. great work!

Pretty simple gameplay that lead to a pretty fun game, very good progress for a game jam. A couple things I’d recommend: Adding a controls section to your itch page. Even with pretty simple controls it took me a bit to figure them out, and it only takes a couple seconds to add. Adding a one sentence quick explanation explanation of what you do in the game would also help figuring out what to do (I may have spent my first run trying to dodge the rain) And also sound, it adds a lot to the game, and is definitely worth the time Otherwise very fun

Thanks for playing and your feedback!

Just curious: Did you see the "how to play" page in the game? I'm wondering if I needed to explian things better, or need to make that page more obvious to find (or both)! Good point about adding and explaination to the itch page as well though.

I had some fun with the game, and I think it fits the theme pretty well. Because of the constant rain in the later stage of the game and quick drying of clothes, I didn't really use the upper rack very much, but I could see it getting some use with some more experience. I would have preferred having a timer, or some way of keeping track of the time (and points). Great game though!

Thanks for your feedback!

Yeah, I ran out of time to do any real level design after putting a prototype scene together, so the upper rack ended up mostly pointless...

The simple gameplay is a lot of fun. I especially like how the storm starts to build up, becoming more and more of a problem until it reaches the end, instead of just being an instant "game's over, here's how you did".

Your description mentions it, but this would definitely benefit a lot from sound effects and music. It could also be made a bit clearer that you have multiple inventory slots in the tutorial - I spent like half the game shuttling single socks back and forth like a clown until I realized you could carry multiple things.

Thanks for the feedback!

Good point about mentioning the multiple slots - classic dev blindness, I was so used to it during testing I didn't even think to mention it anywhere!

I like the simple gameplay and it fits the theme pretty well! Graphics and audio could use some work, but overall this was a solid submission
