How does your game fit the theme?
Quiet before the storm is pretty much the gimmick of the game. You have 3 minutes in the quiet before an intense storm.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Everything is made within the week.

this is so fun:D good job

The "calm" part is really well made! Harvesting resources, upgrading buildings and abilities, getting ready for the battle in just 3 minutes is intense. The audiovisual side is excellent. I played it twice, but couldn't survive 30 seconds in the battle even though I tried to optimize my second run. So the "storm" part is too hard I think.

Thank you! I agree that the storm part is a bit too intense haha

Edit: Nerfed the storm, enemy spawn cool down increased from 0.5s -> 0.7s

Excellent work. However, the enemies swarm the crystal a bit too fast. Maybe I just didn`t prepare right though.

Really good UI and Game play loop, had a lot of fun!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! UI design will be the death of me :))

Awesome game! I had a lot of fun with it, but I wish I had more time to gather upgrades. The mechanics and art style were great, and the balance between upgrading economy and defense made it even more engaging. Overall, really well done!

Developer

Thank you! Short timer is a deliberate game design chose, might add a "freeplay" mode in a later update. Although I think it might be possible to get every upgrade in one run ;)

Great game. I just wish I had more time to get more upgrades.

Developer

Thanks! The timer being shorter than you need it to be is a design choise. Kina makes you min max everything, decide how many eco upgrades vs defence upgrades you buy. I think it is possible to get everything in one run though, i have been very close ;)

One of the better games I got to play this game jam!
Love the funny opening, the art style, and the mechanics!
Great Theme interpretation(Our submissions have some similarities, being stuck on an island etc).

Overall great game, good job!

Developer

Thank you! I will be shure to check out your game :)

Very cool game! Reminds me a lot of Don't Starve. I love the billboard trees and bushes, etc., and the way the axe/bow rotates around the player in 3D. Fits the theme well. Lots of upgrades to buy and a decent amount of objects to place. Definitely the most solid entry I've played so far - well done! :)

Developer

Thanks, man! Dont't starv was definitely an insperation for the grafic style. I'm very pleaced with the amount of upgrades i was able to jam in the during the week, although i wish i had time for the 5th and final building. Might come in an update post voting ;)

Very cute art and good voice acting

Developer

Thank you! Have to give credit to my little sister for voice acting the boy in the into :)

Best game of the jam so far.

Great graphics, theme fitting, voice-aciting. You have it all.

I was to point one thing out it would be that you should be a bit more forgiving with the waves at first?

Bravo!

Developer

Thank you! Really appreciate it :)

Planning on making an update after the voting has ended, and i agree that the enemies should be more forgiving in the beginning.
