You're in the eye of a hurricane, except this hurricane is creepy and crawls under the earth. Things may look calm now, but that wurm will tear through the area like a tornado.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything but sound/music was done from scratch which was used under a C0 license

Nice entry! Always a fan of digging games. I liked the oppressive atmosphere.
Considering how large the map is you had to hope for good rng for the wurm's pathing. Unless there was some logic behind it? I didn't see the slowing turrets having any effect. Maybe I was too focused on digging and preparing to dodge out of the way.
The only thing I think was missing was canceling your action, to avoid long pathing and hoping you're not gonna get eaten.

Oh man, I was so close. What a cool game for so many reasons. The combination of being able to destroy terrain and a giant beast who can destroy it better makes for some really fun dynamics. The simple art style worked very well, and I enjoyed the design of the wurm.
I do wish I could see the range of the towers, but that's just nitpicking at this point. I'm going to play this one again tomorrow. Nice work!

The limitation of vision caused tension well. It was fun
I would have liked to play it. it seems really fun... but on Linux I have no options. For future game jams I would suggest a web export or if you can't, a version for Mac, Linux, and Windows.
as of writing this, this is one of the most underrated entries i've seen so far!! the pixel art is extremely well done, the wurm looks AWESOME!!! the mining feels a bit weird, though i enjoyed the gameplay loop a ton. awesome work to everyone involved!!
