How does your game fit the theme?
Every level is played twice. The first time is the calm part, and it lets you see the level. The second time adds in a storm and is more difficult
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all the code from scratch iirc, and a friend of mine made the sprites (I don't know what their Itch is and they're probably asleep so I can't ask them. I plan on editing the Itch page to credit her)

Umm... I beat your game in 2 mins. I found a HUGE bug in the game where you could just keep hitting ctrl to roll, and when rolling the player is basically invincible (except for lava, player still dies in lava in rolling). And the character artstyle is quite unique, but obviously there was a lot of placeholder art in there. Also, the jump is quite floaty, which means I could just jump and spam roll to cross the whole level while in air. Lastly, some music and SFX would've been nice.
oh wait did I forget to add a cooldown on rolling? or did I not implement it correctly? I'll have to fix that
I like art in this game. ;D
I really liked the art style! Very unique! Also, I could easily beat every level by jumping and spam rolling through the air to the other side. Great job though!
I think the artstyle has charm, would have worked really well with some extra squishy juice and sound effects, I played through the game idk how far i went like level 4? at that point it got wayyy too difficult i couldnt figure out how to get through but its honestly really good, if you could improve on this one further i think you can have a really fun game
Yeah I increased the difficulty faster than I normally would bc of how small it is and accidentally overshot it
I also completely forgot to make sounds lmao (didn't have time anyways). I'll probably make some after the jam
The strats I found for 2X (I use X for the second iteration of each level) and 3X are kinda complicated lmao. I had to make the levels pretty quickly (within a few hours)
I did not make the art, my friend did. I also messed up the sprites so I'll fix that after the jam too
Skeleton raincoat combat
1. I like the main character, the art style is unique, shifting pencil drawings give an anxiety like feel and the enemies follow a similar scheme
2. two enemies is good and the lightning bolts that happen after you shift a level. I liked the lightning strikes, improve the indication animation a bit for where you think they'll strike
3. consider putting your action keys all together, having S, CTRL and Space as the keys are too far apart and makes it difficult to play
4. Got stuck on the return lighting section of the platform, a bird spawned right above me and I couldnt jump, roll or attack to get out, spawn the player back a bit more so they have a chance
Oh yeah, I wanted to try out some abnormal controls because they're easier for my brain to understand. I might try to add a keybinds thing in a settings menu
Which level could you not complete? I assume the first one? I'll take a look at it. Thanks for telling me!
No the level i couldnt beat was the green platform, returning, it has birds and robo crabs on it
Ohhh, yeah I see what you mean. That's probably one that should be adjusted, but you can either jump to the right and slash to the left or roll to the left and slash to the right (I do the latter)
Wait they're wearing a raincoat. I didn't even realize lmao
haha thats what it looks like to me! Try out my teams' game too :)
It's on my list! I'm trying to rate the games of everyone who rates mine
Love the roll animations. Also surprised to see a few levels for a short game jam.
I like the roll animations too. They came out quite nicely. (I actually got the sprites wrong for the other player animations due to poor communication and a lack of experience, so they probably would've looked better. I'll update it after the jam)
If I had more time the levels would've been more polished, but alas, I did not. The premise of this game did, however, double the amount of levels, as every level is played twice. I might make more levels after the jam too
