How does your game fit the theme?
You change the weather from calm to storm and back by collecting an orb
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, SFX , music, some icons and some small parts of code were not by me.

The art style is great and i love the idea. but the movement doesn't feels so great
I really like the art style of the characters. Animations and feedback are well timed. It's great that the enemies interact with each other. Sometimes they weaken each other and sometimes they form an enemy complex with each other. The background music and effects are good. And the menu is good too.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to pass the third wave yet.
Thanks for the feedback! And yeah, the game's difficulty balance is really bad cuz I didn't playtest enough lol.
Game is pretty fun!!! I saw three bull tower :D
Had some hitbox issues, was flying off the screen sometimes even though I was far from the bulls.
Kudos!!
Thanks for the feedback! And yeah some people did complain about having hitbox issues, I'm not so sure why tho... since my hitboxes are all set nicely... I'll get that checked.
Might be the efffect of the hitbox is applied later or the animations..
This game is pretty interesting and fun! However, i did find it a bit hard to jump over the bulls (maybe i did something wrong?). Despite that, the gameplay is still solid.
Don't worry you did nothing wrong lol. The jumping issue is on me, cuz I accidentally set the jump force a little too weak. Thanks for playing!
Liked how the main character slowly depleted health unless you stayed in the storm. Seeing the enemies jump on top of each other was fun and it was pretty cool that the idea was to avoid being jumped on. Controls were pretty smooth and wokring well, though definitely a bit challenging during the storm due to the wind. Well done on this game!
Thanks for the feedback!
I like the juice in this game! You have good sound effects and the white flash on taking damage is so important to give the player feedback. The action is nice and exaggerated too, I like how far enemies fly, and especially how far you can be sent by a bull.
I think the bull enemies are too hard however. I couldn't figure out how to jump over one, let alone two stacked together! I couldn't quite figure out the upside of clear weather as well.
Awesome job!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I accidentally set the jump force a little too weak and didn't had time to playtest it lol, and about the two bulls stacking, my spawning is kinda bad tbh.
pretty challenging and a lot of fun, one of my fav submissions for sure :D
Yooo, it's the soon-to-be viral youtuber! Thanks for playing!
no problemo (and thank you:)
The bulls were definitely a highlight, especially with how they pushed spikes around—it added a layer of intensity I wasn’t expecting! The game's atmosphere and mechanics felt fresh, and I’d love to see more creative enemies like this in future updates. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback!
The bull enemy was truly distinctive, especially when it was pushing the spikes. It added a menacing touch that made me wonder why more platformers don’t use a mechanic like that. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for playing!
Fun little game, I think you could even go further with the movement because the jump feels really satisfying. Rewarding this would create a really interesting game.
On that note, check out Meathook Massacre too :)
Thanks for the feedback!
Pretty fun although a bit tough once you get the bulls. Seems difficult or impossible to actually dodge them by jumping over. You may not have made the sound but it is well implemented. The wind on the storm mode is a bit crazy trying to go left but it does give you incentive to want to change back to day which you wouldn't really otherwise. I think all this really needs is a way to dodge or parry or use ranged attacks. The physics is fun in a goofy way. Great job as a solo dev.
Yeah, the jump was the intended way to dodge the bulls, which I guess didn't really work out cause I accidentally set the jump force a little too weak. Thanks for the feedback!
You have some very fun monster designs and a fun idea. It's pretty brutal which is fine for a Hack N' Slash but I do have some criticisms.
I don't like the weather mechanic, it seems to be too punishing if you don't wanna deal with storm weather (or just crappy control weather which is what it is) then you take damage and you have no way of healing throughout all 5 levels. At least none that I could find. This forces you into almost always staying in storm weather where the movement controls are very annoying.
I wouldn't hate it, if you had to use it occasionally, maybe where Storms healed you and clear weather damaged you.
Yeah, I was rushing when I thought of the advantages and disadvantages of the weathers, and didn't have a lot of good ideas lol. Healing would be really nice for sure. And yeah, the wind in the storm was originally supposed to switch to the calm, but when calm is too punishing, you're kinda forced to stay with the annoying ig. Now that I think of it, healing every time a monster is defeated would be a nice mechanic, which I might add in a post jam build if I have the time to continue developing this project. Anyways, thanks for the feedback!
BRUTAL EXPERIENCE (I simply got cooked). Still fun though. I think most of the difficulty comes from the jump not being enough to deal with most of the enemies. Still had fun though. Also don't really understand the point of storm and clear weather as in clear weather I lose so much hp. Great job overall!
Yeah, I kinda set the jump height a little too short, and as for the switching being not impactful part, the reason was that I was running out of time and was cramming, so the advantages and disadvantages I thought of for each weather just weren't the best lol.
THE STRAT BOARD (for anybody who wants to get through this game):
Slimes: don't worry about them try to get in close and hit them without stopping but if you see the animation run they damage even after death. They're great at damaging enemies if you can activate them from affar
Trash Cans: get on their right side you can eaisly do that by running at them they won't have time as you are running with rain, Then just spam spacebar and run at them, they souldn't be able to hit you. If there is more there is a chance they can hit you if you're attacking them from the right and running at them but the risk is worth it.
Bulls: For single bulls they are your friends just run at them swinging ignoring enemies and once against them you don't get damaged but run at exelent speed to kill the others without a problem. If you see groups aproach carefully and try not to push them into vision zones of others, if you agro more then one you shoud try to hit them while running away as if they slow down they seam to stop attacking, alternativly get caried to the closest wall as it will stop the other bulls from attacking you.
Bull Towers and Castles: The final bosses for castles if you see bulls in line apply advice from the bull sections, as for the towers aproach carefully you should be able to agro just one bull and applying the same tactic of running away and hitting if able it will allow you to take them one at the time.
Postioning: Try to get back to the edges of the map at the end of the round it will minimise the chance of you getting stuck between bulls. Right wall is prefered as it allows you to better deal with trash cans and allows you to push the bulls less when they are charging in the attack.
Weather: Get to the Storm as soon as possible it helps with trash cans and taking things slow helps you preserve health.
MALL MELEE IS BETTER THAN STORM REAPER 🔥
The gameplay in this game is great! I wish the tutorial was integrated instead of in a menu, but either way, great job!
Would've done that if I got the time for sure, but the art took way too long lol. Anyways thanks for the feedback!
I found the knock back on the enemies very funny. They IA was kinda strange tho, i spend some time just going against the wind looking for the last enemy. Maybe a smaller arena with some enemies spawning each time would feel better. Idk if it's just the jump/movement or the wave of enemies, but the game is way too hard lol. Even so it's quite fun and the art look very nice
Yeah, most of your feedback are really good points, and the game is waaaay too HARD for sure lol (especially the bulls)
Love the movement!
Thanks!
cool game, damn bulls are too strong, haha
Yeah, a lot of people complained about the bulls lol. Thanks for playing!
I tried so hard and got so far But in the end, it doesn’t even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end, it doesn’t even matter
Ok now, but for real, the extended edition director’s cut review featuring Frame from the Devil May Cry series
I played the Windows version. Probably one of the two or three of them that did download the game. Of course it ran way better than the WebAssembly version… but you know, this is the single game that I spent the most time out of all, so far.
You made someone that doesn’t like arcade games, spend hours trying to beat it. Not only that… I figured out not only the controls, but also the key to progress in less than a minute.
I heard soooo many stories that the bulls were bad, but first round and I got to 3/5. And I did not know what the storm mode did (cause lol I did not read anything lmao), that I did not use the storm mode and got to 4/5. Low health, but did.
Then I got rekt by the RNGods. They debuffed me hard. I survived castles of bulls around me, because the controls were so easy, so tight, so well executed; that you made someone that fails at anything reflex-bound a damn good player. Probably can beat it if I spent more time.
I did get some small bugs, mainly blobs flipping below the floor. And then the collision started coming alive. I don’t know how or what or whatever you did, but it’s so damn well executed, that even the bugs were good.
Consistent design, consistent visuals, _a decently good choice of music and SFX. Recommend using a mechanical keyboard with linear switches, like an MX Red, to hammer that space bar like a cookie clicker.
…that’s the only thing that I find kind of dangerous about your game. It’s very susceptible to turbo controller/autofire keys. Won’t say why, but you need to make some conditional checks on the physics routine to account for these kinds of cheating scenarios. But it’s such minutia, such small polishing details, that tbh… I don’t care. It’s a game jam. I had fun.
take my 5/5. not a single regret. go play it. NOW
Thanks for this in-depth review lol. Honestly, I don't know what I did to make you so hooked on the game either xd. And getting to wave 4 on calm mode alone is a feat in and of itself. I don't even know how one could manage that (i can't, obviously). And well, I suppose the RNGods decided you were too good and doing too well, so they just slapped some Bull Towers and Castles in there to stop you lol. As for the cookie clicker exploit, I'll have to check on my code for sure. Anyways thanks for being a huge fan!
Don't have to deal with this mess anymore 😪
Hehe
