How does your game fit the theme?
Most of the game occurs in the time between goblin attacks, anticipating and preparing.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Used the Dialogue System for Unity by Pixel Crushers plugin as well as two free UI packs: Retro Inventory by ElvGames and RPG Icons by Lorc. All other art, code, music, and writing was created from scratch for this jam.

The atmosphere and visuals are really well done! I was a bit confused by the battle mechanics and what was supposed to happen afterward. Adding more clarity would help, but it's still an enjoyable experience

I'm not sure I understood the plot of the game, don't know if I was supposed to do something during the battle and don't know why I was taken back to the menu after the battle and if I should proceed?

But I really liked the atmosphere, the graphics of the game. Having some voice for the different characters would have been killer!

Overall, good job :)

I think the lore was great, the dialogues. I think the other parts could use a little more, like i think there should be a sfx playing when going to the next dialogue, to add a little feedback, also a battle like audio during the "battle" would really add to the atmosphere of the game.

I didn't understand if keep playing it for 6 days would change the dialogues or show the rest of the story, but it seemed like it didn't. In the future I would love to see the rest of the story.

Great game and design!!

I'm definitely not a huge fan of dialog games but when I understood your answers affects the round I really got into it. I just did 2 runs but that's very cool to see how you managed to match abilities into what the player is saying. Every time it made sense. I didn't fully understood the combat system felt a little bit complicated and a bit pointless since the game has just one round yet. Since you plan on continuing it I guess it will make more sense when you can play more rounds. Great job overall and looking forward what you will add to the game!

Your dialogue is fairly entertaining. I got a good laugh about "Grotesque Mug" which certainly would not have landed as well if the artist wasn't so talented! I agree with the other comments here that the battle is a little hard to follow. Maybe just following the characters' order in relation to the actions happening would add some clarity. I really like the ability names and the consequences of the dialogue. Fun!

Really interesting story and lore going on here. Also great that you all decided to continue with the story. The only critique I have is that the goblin attacks need some more love. Right now it was quite confusing what was happening. Maybe move the goblin phase to a new screen that shows goblins actually attacking so that some more visual feedback is given instead of text popping up in the little stat bubbles. Having more story during the attack phase is a nice idea, but right now it was hard to focus on both the story and the attacks happing.

Overall I gave you quite a high score, since I do see some good potential

The game looks good. To be honest I was thinking that the art is was made using IA, your artist is good !
I must say, I don't think it a good idea to have a lot of things to read for a jam game. It take times, and we want to test a maximum of game for the time we have.
I did not totally understand the final battle, there is a lot of rounds and it go very quickly. I think you must do the action one by one (for understanding) and offer an option to speed up. Some simple tweening animation would be great for a minimum of investment.

The mood of the game is great. Some 2D light and particles for the fire would help the mood, etc....

Overall, great work.
