Can someone give me some feedback on the art of my game?

Hello fellow devs, this is my first Game Jam ever, however, I'm not an artist or anything, though I decided to make my own sprites and art for the game I'm making. But I'm not really confident about it, so I would ask you if you could give me your opinions about it. All feedback will be appreciated!

(I haven't finished some of the art so that's why some sprites still pixel art)

Here you have a short video from the game: usp=shari...https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RPtE4R7Taw4e2PUpkDRsn5zMN9smhimu/view?usp=sharing

(a turn based game where you must avoid the storms that come into the map and reach the castle on the other side)

Looks great. I think the grassy tiles, bordering the snow should have a white snowy edge a bit like you have done with the water tiles already, then it would blend together nicely.

I saw you made an animation for the water, I suggest you make a simple animation for the trees as well, even just slightly rotate to the right and left, also if you can make snow fall down all over the screen using particle effects, gradually increasing as more clouds appear to create tension! all of this will make the game feel much more alive and cozy!

Ok, thanks a lot for the advice!

just double down and commit to the style and try not to mesh it with other styles or adding external artwork. There are worse styles and if you make it your own and it is a coherent theme, people will appreciate that it was not just a cookie cutter asset flip :)

Ok, I will stick to my own art style as much as I can

Looks Good! there is no point in worrying about amazing art for a game jam game just stick to a style and enjoy it! looking forward to playing the game
