How does the game fit the theme?
Hereditary Marks uses the haunted castle stereotype. The young heir has inherited a tower full of treasures, nothing can go wrong, right?... Plus, the ending contains an unexpected/expected detail that adds to the theme.

Really enjoyed this, CCAdori. The spell crafting reminded me of Eternal Darkness, a favorite of mine that required experimentation to discover and create. As usual, great job!
Love the mechanic of the ingredients making the spells. Fun to learn the different combinations and how to use them. As well as that, the whole game felt really smooth, nice art-style too. Definitely has a lot of potential!
I really love how the game design is centered around the use of the spells. You can't really brute force your way through it which usually requires a clever design. Learning the combinations and when to use them was interesting as well. The fact that you have to ration certain spells for certain times makes for very engaging game play.
FELLOW CULT GAME RAAAHH
Cool spell-cast mechanic, visual design awesome! Hard to cast spell at moving enemy, maybe need to play much more to get used to it.
Very impressive, cool concept, visuals and sounds are very appealing.
Great visual, I liked the gameplay a lot
Impressively made, especially considering the timeframe. I believe adding a small casting animation and a screen shake effect would enhance the impact and make the spells feel more powerful.
this was alot of fun! felt very polished and satisfying too! good job
very cool game
Amazing art, really polished. However, I often found myself lacking the damage jalapeno while there were still enemies left. Enjoyed it nonetheless.
Thanks for testing! This seems to be feedback that other people have had as well, maybe I should have given the player other damage spells as well.
One tip I can give, if you play again in the future, is to use other ways to escape from enemies, until they return to their initial positions (except for the explosive rat that always follows.)
For example, you can use the stun spell (herbs) and run away, they will eventually lose sight of the player. Another possibility is to use dash (bat wing) or invisibility (bat wing + herbs).
Anyway, it's great to receive constructive criticism, thanks!
I love the artstyle and music! Really good!
Thank you, Chaitanya, I'm glad you liked it!
