That chicken must have said "Œuf!" when it took a fall like that. (I'm surprised it didn't try to use its wings to soften its fall)
Really though. The music and sound design was great. You drew all this pretty well, the graphics were high quality.
There was one issue with the menu where on my high resolution screen, the main menu did not exit the screen properly and obscured a significant amount of gameplay stuff. This happens in both Firefox and Ungoogled Chromium. This did not affect my final ranking.
Implementation of the theme was eh. I could see the vision, but the way it played out felt like you just stuck an animation and tileswap in there to fit in.
EIGHTY FOUR HOURS??? That's 3 .5 FULL DAYS of labour, or TWELVE HOURS A DAY spent on this. For your health I hope it was a typo from the much more reasonable 48 hours.
Overall this I expext will be one of my favourite submisisions thus far.

This game is soo good, the menu, the animations of the chicken and the way you can do a doble jump using the egss. Eggcelent! ^^

That's to be eggpected. Making a full game is egghausting. Make sure to eggercise and eat some eggs!
I had fun playing it, it's a good platformer and feels good to play, maybe adding something else going wrong would help it fit into the theme more! Great Job!!!
Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree that it needed a bit more theming but that's just an issue with the brainstorming phase.
ITS SO COOL AAAA only i dont think it really fits the theme, other than that epic game!
Really funny game, a nice platformer
The controls seem a little slow to me, but otherwise the game is pretty good
FUNNY GAME
The control feels very nice and the transition between scenes is so good. The camera moving is very on point!
The best game I've played so far. The controls are really good which is important in a platformer and I LOVE the sound design especially with the footsteps in the metal. The art is extremly well made and it's also very rare for a gamejam game to have cutscenes. Only complaint I've got is that there isn't more of it😂
Played and rated! A really well made and polished little platformer, really liked the detail, especially the death animation and respawning out of pipes!
Also i think its important to say you should not eat seeds you find in a sewer...

Very very cute
I especially liked the two longer transitions (the fall and the pipe). The game was not too hrad (altough the dirst (or second section - the one with the two eggs) was maybe a little to hard of a dificulty change for my taste, but my lazy ass figured it out eventually :D.
Only critique I have is -> the background and foreground assets were a little hard to distinguish as everything was in gray, but as I never had to backtrack far, it was fine.
