Not easy to understand the rule at first but when I figured it out I found that interesting.
I revamped the tutorial to make it clearer and I will upload it as soon as the rating period is over. Still thanks for your feedback.
Awesome graphics, i kept clicking the notes while the drill was next to them so i kept losing till i figure it out through the comments ^^ Very fun after you understand the mechanics :)
Yeah I know that it can be needlessly complicated, still thx a lot for your kind feedback :D
Very entertaining game x'D. i'm glad reading some comments so i know what i have to do, and once you know it its all fun. The hardest part for me is to drill the hole since my mouse sensitivity is kinda suck haha, but i find a clever way to do it, i drill vertically, so even the note isn't suppposed to be pressed, i drill it anyway, and its fine on the game.
And that comes the other difficulty of your game, which is the note back ground that falling down, make me must really see what notes come from flute, maybe you guys plan this for the background, dang, can't beat my 8 point TvT, i always forget the last note haha.
I really like how you interpreted the theme :),
really cool game and fun music, rated <3
Thanks a lot, it was intentional to add the background to distract the viewer and because i just like the effect, but I can understand that it can be hard to see. I'll see after the jam finished if i can add some more visibility with Unitys 2D lighting system and some gloom effect.
Really cool idea and I love the graphics as well as audio, however the pattern displays extremely quickly so I don;t have time to remember it, and I can't tell what the start of the pattern was so I would always get it wrong. If you slow down the pattern and add some sort of indicator that it is repeating then this would be a very cool game because the idea is great! Also I am in love with the music, well done! :D
EDIT:
I just realised that the pattern isn't the big note at the bottom of the screen! The pattern is the little notes coming out of the flute.
Ok, now I totally understand the game and it's actually extremely fun! Well done! :D I'm so sorry I didn't understand it before, but now I actually really enjoyed and and this is a great game! You should be very proud :)
The problem is I made some small adjustments to the tutorial already, which could be helpful. But i can't upload it right now but after the Review is finished I will immediately. Thanks for your kind feedback as well I was really happy with my idea at first, even tough the end product could have been better but it was still a nice experience especially because I never programmed a game in this niche before.
I'm sorry mybe I'm just stupid but I couldnt figure out what I was supposed to do here. Everything I did resulted in a game over. I love the art and the music is pretty good but all that doesn't matter if I cant play it. Maybe you could explain it to me?
I try as well as I can to explain it, I'm really sorry if you don't understand it that's not your fault in any way shape or form, but mine for making it needlessly convoluted. Thanks for your feedback in advance, I will add some more text to explain the Game on my itch.io page as well.
As a small Guide:First you have to do everything the little Animation on the Top right Shows after you've done that. Only click the button once and then wait until you see a note appear out of the flute and you hear the corresponding sound !
The basic idea is that you have certain places in the flute indicated by the colour, as soon as you finished the "tutorial", the flute starts to create notes out of these holes. You have to remember them (they increase each iteration so 1 then 2 then 3 and so on), then you bore into the right Holes (you could bore into others as well that's just more wasted time to remember the right combination), beware not to bore to deep tough or you will destroy the flute ! And then it is just an easy click on the Coloured Indicator and a Note will appear as well as the matching Sound.
If it was correct the same pattern will appear again with another Note added, then you just have to bore and click again on the right coloured indicator hence and repeat this process as long as you can.
Note: Coloured Indicator:
The game is very good and the art style is very cool!
but i have one comment , i couldn't figure our the start of the pattern, the pattern loops so fast that i don't know what is actually the first note!
maybe make a delay between each loop so we at least know that a new loop has started.
other than that it is a very good game :)
Would love you to checkout our game and give it a rate too :)

Thanks a lot for your feedback I will take that into consideration and test the game some more with increased delays
the changes are too fast, please give it a level for noobs please
You mean the speed in which the Notes are displayed ?
oh now after reading your explanation of the gameplay two posts above i get it :) at first i though i had to drill the notes in the order they changed on the bottom of the screen xD
No problem I've been working on a updated version with better background easier tutorial and over all added aesthetic with 2D lighting even tough it's subtle and the most important thing of all I added or better removed that you have to click on the "button" to make the sound, you're just able to drill and the note will appear automatically. I will update the game as soon as the rating period is over.
Hmmm there is no game loading now? I will check back later~
Yeah I fucked up big time and deleted the current Build, because I haven't read the text and it's my first time in a rated Game Jam. I wrote the support but guess that it will probably only playable after the 2 week period I'll see.
The game has been re uploaded now thanks to the help of a nice Admin :P. I would love it if you could try it thanks a lot for your patience.
What a nice game. The pixel art was amazing. The audio deserves a medal. Very catchy and well done.
Thanks a lot :P
Very interesting concept. It did take a bit for me to figure out what exactly I had to do, so I'd suggest making the tutorial a little clearer. Aside from that, I think this is a pretty fun time waster. I especially liked the music for this.
I tried to make the Tutorial better and will upload as soon as possible thanks for your feedback :D
