In what way does your game fit the theme?
you can rewind your inputs

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
i wrote MOST of the code myself, but did modify some scripts from brackeys tutorials. I made all assets except for the CRT effect, VCR sounds, and the font, none of which have a license preventing me from using them

Very fun puzzle game! Took me a while to get the hand of the mechanics but eventually figured it out.

I'm glad there was tutorial even though it took a few tries to get used to the mechanics. Some background music would be nice but it's just small details, good job!

Developer

thanks!

So much wow, so much rage, so much death - pushed over about 100 on that particular map. It was extremely fun up until I wanted to break my keyboard. Great design and awesome way to implement rewind! It did take an extraordinary amount of time getting used to the keys after restarting instead of rewinding for the first 30 deaths. Fun overall though, congrats on the jam and rated!

Developer

thank you! i didnt intend on breaking any keyboards for sure, but oh well

Nice puzzle game. I had a lot of accidental restarts by hitting R and F on the later levels. Good game all around.

Developer

oops, my keyboard has fairly large keys so i never knew this would be a problem. sorry, and thanks!

Fantastic puzzle game! Took me a while to understand the tutorial, but after I got the hand of it I had a lot of fun!! Great level design, and the vhs effects adds a lot too.

definitely will need to make a better tutorial in future game jams, thanks!

The game played well with the puzzles. I wasn't able to finish all the way, but it was good nevertheless!
Would've enjoyed some BG music though!

Developer

i tried to think of what the bg music could be but honestly had no clue what to make it, thanks!

Ok made it to the double flip level and after enough tries I gave up. Took me awhile in the tutorial how to do it. I had to start the game over and over to get the instructions. Recommend if you restart the tutorial you also restart the instructions.  It's a good concept and I like the sound fx's. It's a nice new touch on the rewind mechanic. Good job.

Love the concept, I had trouble wrapping my head around how to do some of the puzzles but really enjoyed everything about it! Very well made!

Developer

thank you!

This one was pretty cool! I made it to the level where you have to flip twice mid-air. I liked the TV-like aesthetic, sounds were good, and the rewind mechanic took a little getting used to but was pretty unique. Nicely done!

Developer

thank you!

This is a deviously tricky puzzle platformer, I absolutely love it. Great job!

Developer

this is good to hear, since i made the levels they were easy for me so i was worried it would be easy for everyone. thanks!

Flip is a nice game, simple, but nice, it fit the them and is really fluid. Love the concept.

Cool puzzle game! I don't know if it's intentional or not, but you can fight against yourself whenever you are rewinding. Otherwise I can see some really cool puzzles being made from this concept

Developer

i originally intended to remove the ability to fight yourself, but i felt it made for a more enjoyable experience to be able to adjust your movements a little, its pretty hard to get your movements right without it. thanks!
