In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have to avoid obstacles that can make you rewind and lose your progress in the level.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Everything is made by me, except from the BGM and the text font.

Good challenge. Simple but fun gameplay and well implemented obstacles.

Developer

Thank you for playing!!!

Cool game! It's a nice simple platformer that you have added a lot of interesting things to. Maybe in a post-jam version, you could implement the option to skip the intro just because it's a little bit long and on a second playthrough it would be nice to be able to get back to the gameplay faster.  Overall, nice submission :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!! I'll make sure to add one after the jam. :D

Hey really nice art and gameplay! also the level design is very good, i loved it!

Just a comment, a restart level option in the pause menu would be nice.

Anyway, Congrats! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!!!

A quick restart option will be implemented after the jam ends. :D

A really well polished game, the gameplay is really solid, fast and fun!

Congrats! :D

Developer

Thanks!!!!! ^^

Really cool concept! the time make everything more challenging. Maybe it's just me the sfx from platforms changing it's a bit annoying (and sometimes the sounds still playing when the game over screen already showed). It was useful for tuning the changed, but it would be great to lower the sound. Overall it was really fun and little hard but still enjoyable game. Good job :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback!! Yeah some sounds were left with high volume by accident (like the jetpack during the intro scene. It will be fixed in an update after the jam.

Also, thanks for pointing out the changing platforms' sound playing during the Game Over Screen. I'll look into that too. :)

Polished game with good art and audio, really enjoyable!

Developer

Thank you!!!!

I really enjoyed the artstyle and level design though sometimes the checkpoints didn't feel the best if you got hit by something knowing you don't have enough time to complete the level anymore.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for your feedback!!! Yeah, a lot of people had a similar experience... I'm working on something to improve the checkpoint system. Will update after the jam ends. :D

Liked the art style and cute character. Good job!

Could you please play and rate my game as well?

Developer(+1)

Thanks!!

I've already played yours. :)

Submitted(+1)

I enjoyed that one. Using jetpack is always fun.

I didn't like the controls, X and Z keys are hard to access while pressing A and D to move horizontally. I would prefer W to jump and Shift of or Space for jetpack, while my right hand is already idle.

You are really talented in music making.

Developer

Thanks for playing!!! The game was made with the Arrow Keys in mind for movement, but I forgot to disable WASD hehe... I'm planning to add different input options in a future update tho. :)

Also, I didn't make the music lol. Tried learning how to during the jam, but I didn't have enough time, so I ended up using free music I found online. All the BGM is made by TeknoAXE. If you are interested, here's a link to their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/teknoaxe/featured

Thanks for the feedback!!

This is a nice game. The character controls and level design are very good, and the art is also good considering the time available. I was afraid of how the jump + jetpack would feel, but it's very well implemented. Great job.

Developer

Thanks!!!! ^^

Really cool game! Liked a lot the art as well as the music. It is pretty challenging, I had a good time playing it!!

Developer

Thanks!!! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Hi, I have already rated this game, but i remember you had some problems if the game wasn't fullscreen. I think this setting in the game page under "Embed options" may solve it. It is the second option in the dropbar. This way the game will forcefully be launched in fullscreen

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for the help!!! I tried that setting, but this is what it did:

It launches the game, but the screen stays in window mode with the cut sides, and you can't see the description, comments, or any of the rest of the itch page.

I believe the screen error it's due to the resolution settings I had when building the game, but it's strange cause I didn't manually change them at any point. While I was working on the project, I had my Build Settings configured for PC, Mac & Linux Standalone by default, and only changed that to WebGL when I finished, just before uploading. Maybe something from the resolution settings was changed automatically then??? Idk lol.

I'll try experimenting with different resolutions settings to see if something changes. Already fixed all the other mayor issues the game has, except for this one lol.

Again, thanks for coming back and trying to help. Really appreciate it!!!

Really enjoyed your game. Love the art and the concept. I don't know if it's just me, but the jump feels off sometime, like sometimes you'll be able to double jump and sometimes not. But overall really well-done game (^▽^)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!! Yes, I need to work more on the jumping. Sometimes the player can jump from a wall, and if you are going too fast it has a chance of jumping very low. I didn't know about all this bugs, but that's the great thing about sharing and recieving feedback! I'm already working to fix everything. ^^

Very cool game, though if I had any suggestion it'd be that the controls for jumping and using the jetpack might be better if the were rebinded. using the z and x keys at the same time as the a and d keys requires some pretty uncomfortable finger movements, and I feel like the jetpack and jump could have been bound to the spacebar and the w key. Still though, cool job.

Developer

The game was built with the Arrow Keys in mind for movement, but I forgot to disable WASD... XD
Will try to add different control options in a future update tho. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!!! :D

Oh lmao that explains a lot, I didn't even think to try the arrow keys since it wasn't explained and after a and d worked I thought I had the movement controls figured out. Nice work then.

Submitted(+1)

Great game i really liked the controls and artstyle well done

Developer

Thanks!!!!

This game kept me hooked for quite some time. Really clever level design. Well done!

A very nice game! Controls are very smooth, levels feel perfectly tuned. A few suggestions:

  • The rewind feels very slow - you don’t have anything to do while the player is returning back to start, and it is also somewhat depressing looking at your progress being destroyed. Maybe just make it several times faster, so that the player doesn’t have to wait that long and can retry as soon as possible?
  • Besides helping the player with the keys he needs to press (which is a cool replacement for a tutorial, btw), add some arrows or smth to designate what the player is supposed to do? On the first level I was really confused at first since the exit portal looked hostile and I tried to avoid it. An arrow pointing to it would probably help.
  • On the 6th (or somewhere nearby) level the player has to jump higher than the visible area. Regardless whether this is intended or not, it feels somewhat confusing.
  • Levels 7-8 seems to have been skipped - after the 6th I was put straight into the 9th.

Nonetheless, the game is very enjoyable, great job!

(btw try & rate mine if you like shooters)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback!!

1) Yeah, instead of doing that I decided to set up multiple checkpoints in some levels, so that the player doesn't have to wait a lot and redo all the level after a small mistake. Will try to update and make it faster later.

2) In the intro I made Astro go through one of those portals to start the game, hoping the player would associate them with progression. XD I didn't want to implement many tutorials, just the most important stuff the player needs to know, and let them experiment with that.

3) There's a problem with the WebGL version of the game, where you can't see the whole screen for some reason. The only solution for now is to play on fullscreen. I left a warning in the description. Sadly, I have no idea how to fix that, and I didn't have time to upload a PC version. :c

4) Yeah, my bad lol. I added them to the game, but messed up the level order.

Again, thanks for your feedback! Helps me lot. \o/

Level 5 was too hard for me, but the game was cool and i really liked it

Developer

Thanks for playing!!

Submitted(+1)

I like the graphics. The effect when the player rewinds to a checkpoint looks cool. The sound effects are nice. The rewinding is kinda useless though, because it seems that if it rewinds me I won't have enough time left to clear the level anyways. Making the rewind faster or doing something with the time should make it better.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for your feedback!! Will definitely keep this in mind when working on a future update. :D
