Ey the game is fantastic. The art is really good, and music suits so well. Only thing I would suggest is to control the display layer of the renderer so the character doesn't flash when passing sprites. All looked very good overall.

This is well done and cool a rewind mechanic. Sound fx are good too. Wasn't 100% liking the short jump and having to get close to punch enemies. That would be my only feedback. Nice job.

Really nice idea for making an area rewind to the past. The only thing I would say is that maybe lessen the platform when going vertically, down or up, it got tedious for me. But still, this game is very well polished, the animations, pixel art and audio are amazingly done

the game was really good but i kinda glitched at the bottom of the ground and cant seem to find the way out even if keep using the rewind gun. I like the art style and also the player movement.

I loved it! Great job, it was realy fun!  The idea is cool. I hope you fix the bugs though, I fell out of the level several times. I will deffinitly try out a later version!

It's my first game jam as well, and i am amazed of the positive and engagerad comunity!

Developer

Thank you so much.  I will definitely fix the bugs and fix some issues with the mechanics. It really taught me that I shouldnt have pushed play testing so far back.

Glad to see a fellow first timer. I agree, I love the community. I will absolutely be increasing my game jam participation in the future!

I really love this dimentions game mechnic and this art style and music are just perfect.

Wow that is a very nice pixel-art jump and run with a cool restore parts of the level from the past feature. Very well made, congratulations ! Retro music is super cool too

I like the assets choice. There is a weird bug of player hiding behind trees while not moving. Some jumps seemed to be a bit tricky with laggy double-jump, this may be fault of the web version though. Good work overall!

Developer

Yeah, there was more problems in this web version than the dev version. Must have messed up my sorting order somewhere. Thanks for the feedback!

holy shit!-the graphics are so damn good! however the mechanic feels a bit confusing but its is also very creative

The game looks amazing. I liked the Rift Gun mechanic, it was really creative, but the level design was kind of confusing. Most of the time you didn't know where would you have to shoot, so it was just walking and shooting randomly until you found something.

It's an amazing game with a lot of potential, but maybe having some sort of indicators in the levels could help.

Developer

Thank you, I agree some of the levels were difficult and confusing. unfortunately I wasnt able to test the maps very thoroughly with other people, but after the jam i'll definely try to amend these errors. I'm still a beginner to level design so thank you so much for the advice!

I understand you, level design is extremely hard ._.

The graphics look great, did you make them? Also the time change mechanic is very cool ;)

Developer

Thankyou! The graphics were orignally pre lisecend  from Phil Giarrusso and remixed to fit this game as well another asset pack from the unity asset store. I need to add the links to the page, but I cannot edit the page :( . I'll Definetely be sure to add them after the jam.

I like the artstyle but the mechanics they should be redone.

Please rate my game https://studio22.itch.io/sisyph-a-rewind-story.

I have the very same opinion. Good potential though.

I feel as though the level design is what caused the mechanics to feel wrong at times. With getting stuck not knowing what to do in the second level and there not being many indicators as to how to progress was lacking I believe. Although I do believe I could have explained better how the mechanics work.
