In what way does your game fit the theme?
You can freeze objects in time, and when you restart the level the frozen objects don't get reset. The restart part is the rewind

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?

Fun game, pretty cool using 2 mechanics for puzzles instead of just 1.

I enjoyed the narration a lot! A really nice detail, on top of a solid and well executed concept. Well done!

Developer

Thanks man! That means a lot :D

Really enjoyable and fun game! We really liked the talking in the background of the game, and the hints it gives you too. Nice visuals, nice concept and overall really good game! Good job!

Good job !! Great idea and excellent application! A good puzzle game!

Developer

thanks! I just randomly thought of the idea and was like... "oh das pretty good"

Really well done, it felt pretty clean, some of the level design was a little frustrating not from a challenge perspective but just because it didnt have much flow like many games like this has, Work on the idea for sure and maybe add scrolling levels! definitely could make it to mobile markets!

It's pretty creative idea-wise, bit odd for the choice to have a kidnapper/serial killer narrator instead of just like written instructions and some good music.

Execution is pretty excellent too, I have some minor complains with the controls scheme (especially the click to freeze, F to unfreeze) and when you pushed a box against a wall 20 times in a roll because of a tight jump, but other than nitpicks like that, pretty fun overall.

The game is good but i had to look in the comments to find the controls since i couldn't hear the narrator. the game didn't seem like it fit the theme much since the freeze mechanic didn't fit rewind and nor did restarting since it was just reloading the level and not rewinding the level. everything else except the slidy box was great tho

Developer(+1)

Yeah the narrator was too quiet for sure. Although, I'd have to disagree with you on the theme part. I think I just thought of an abstract/unique way of interpreting it! Restarting the level is rewinding the level to a previous point in time (of course not very interesting on it's own), but i added the freeze mechanic to add a puzzle aspect with the restarting. When you restart the level you're not actually restarting anything, its just me putting those words in place of rewind. Hell, i could've named this game rewind and it would still make sense.

Cool concept and very difficult puzzles. I really like the game but I would have loved an intro. I had no idea how the game worked and needed to figure out all the button. Like for example I had no idea that I need to press "R" and "F" 🤔 and click on objects.

I just accidentally figured this out haha

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The narrator did say what the controls were and how the game worked, but sadly he was very quiet and not many people could hear him causing your exact problem

Like mashup games said, i do not feel like saying the controls really works, otherwise, great game!

Developer

Yeah, i do feel like I should have put down the controls in game, but i did add them to the description to help a bit

Fun game! I like the puzzle aspect to this game and really love your interpretation of the theme. To be honest I don't think the narration fits well with this style of game, and I don't think you should have the controls only said in the narration (especially when it's a bit muffled). But I enjoyed it, good luck!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ollie! The narration/lack of proper explanation was definitely the thing that brought this game down.
