Ranked from 13 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
The world is destroyed, and your character has the power to rewind and restore the world in a small area around him. It's up to him and the god of this world to rewind the entire world and save the inhabitants

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All game logic, models, and story writing are my own. A couple of sound effects and textures were found online and are royalty free. Others were created by me.

I had a lot of fun playing your game. I liked the art and especially the story. The narrator´s voice sounds very nice. Overall a nice game which deserves more ratings. Good Job!

I´ve submitted a local multiplayer game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722755. I would be happy to get your feedback on it. :-D

It is surely one of the most suggestive games in this jam. How the story is narrated, the atmosphere and the visuals all add to each other. Also the presence of optional collectibles and the fact that they serve a function really gives me that GAME feel.
It's really a shame that the game is so heavy, because i think that, otherwise, many more people would have tried it and enjoyed it, but it wasn't easy to make smaller.

There are a few things I'd improve: the camera sometimes plays against you, especially when you are coming back from one of the 3 zones. Maybe you could let the player have some control over the camera with the mouse.
In the ending, an option to exit the game other than alt+f4 would have been nice

Played through your game in this video here at 01:16:25

Felt delightfully nostalgic to play, though a criticism would be the controls don't really work to well if you use a keyboard.

I had a controller so it was fine, but since you can't move the camera it may be better to use the mouse to aim the player direction, or even tank controls. As it is now keyboard and mouse players get quite a different experience to controller users.

Still apart from that, I had a great time and loved how the world faded in and out, great overall.

It looks great! The sound effects are well done and the camera shake makes every landing have such an impact. I also liked how you handled the ground, pretty cool game!

Wow really great job making this one!  The way the ground appears and disappears is super cool!  Great voice over voice as well.   The ground concept is cool, you should make a full game out of it.  Great job making this cool 3d game for the jam, please check out my game if you haven't :D

Wow! This is really good. I especially love the audio narration being used to help you through game play AND to build the world and story. The game feels really professional and solid.

hey thanks man! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’ll give your game a go as soon as I can :)

Beautiful game, amazing scope: narration, beautiful effect of the tiles going up and down as you move and in my opinion amazing interpretation of the theme.

My only two criticisms are the camera angle when walking toward the camera is very uncomfortable and in general there is a lot of back tracking. When the main hardship of the game traversing the map back tracking is not fun especially when you rewind to the beginning after you die. I was able to destroy two seals before giving up.

That said this game is amazing and beautiful and I had a great time playing it, thank you!

Heya thanks for checking the game out!

And thanks a lot for playing so much of it! I’ll keep everything I learned here in mind for future projects to make them as good as I can!

Your comment really helped me a lot and it’ll let me iron out any similar issues in future games I make :3

Here's what I think:

I like the use of the rewind to established a narrative and mood instead of using it as a gameplay mechanic. The exploration feels dangerous and exciting, a bit disorienting at first but you get to familiarize with layout soon enough. I think it isn't that much difficult honestly, not at all harsh and unforgiving giving you an extra energy slot and plenty of extra lives if you're willing to explore enough, which I was.

It's a shame the audio seems to cut out a bit at random at times cause I liked the mood, maybe next time just a little ambience would be nice but I love that you went the extra mile to voice act the thing.

If you're interested in a puzzle-platformer check out my game and let me know what you think!

Most of this game is excellent. However, you may want to reduce the amount you are sent back or add an easy mode with more checkpoints because it currently feels very harsh and unforgiving when I mess up a jump and i'm forced to redo the entire game up until that point.
