In what way does your game fit the theme?
Our monkey requires the player to constantly REWIND its crank, like a wind-up monkey toy, to progress through levels.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets except the background music track and some SFX were made by us. Credits for those assets are given in the game description.

Unfortunately, I hardly got past the first screen in this game, since the amount you're supposed to wind the monkey for him to end up in the second green square is very exact, and the game doesn't even show you that square at first, so it largely feels like a guessing game. The core mechanic of this game is interesting, but I wish it was made more accessible for new players, with a way to widen the camera view, or a faster restart system where you can wind up the monkey again within a fraction of a second. With some polish, this game could be something special, so I hope it continues development.
Thanks for playing and good suggestions! We wanted to implement some of those ideas, but were a bit pressed for time at the end. Thanks for the encouragement :D
cute game with a pretty neat mechanic, but it suffers from clunky controls and not enough "good-to-have" features :/. It would be nice to actually be able to see where the next green checkpoint is, so it's easier to plan, and to know approximatly how far your monkey will go by a set charge. Maybe there could be lines on the floor and then lines in the charger to indicate how many "lines" the monkey would go for it's charge
All in all it was enjoyable, I could see this being further developed into a mobile game since the control scheme would fit perfectly for a mobile device, good job!

Yeah, move planning would probably have been helpful. We were thinking of adding in charge lines up top. But we didn't want to make explicit distance indicators; we wanted the players to learn the travel distance (kinda like Jump King). Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Dealt with some problems, but cool concept non the less :)
Thanks for playing!
Try as I might, I couldn't actually click the monkey in the second winding zone, so I could not even really start the game.
That's strange. The monkey can only be held when it has stopped moving, maybe that was the issue? Thanks for letting us know :D
That was absolutely the issue. I think that could be communicated better.
