good game, I really like platformers. I would suggest to make the player less slippery. but I like the idea of exploring through the darkness.

The idea is cool and original, great game!
I have only 3 suggestions:
1. The platformer controls feel a bit off and I think I found out why - there is no (or almost none) air friction. That means that if you jump and release the left or right key you continue in a perfect parabola. Check a different full fledged platformer and experiment with that - and you will quickly see that is not the case. Because of this it is much harder to land jumps. You jump and let off the right or left key, expecting to fall down, but instead you continue to move and miss the platform.
2. Small thing: why not add other controls and allow people to jump with 'w' or up arrow? It might feel more natural to people.
3. I think you should explain things a bit more at the start. And mainly I think you should not use old style English. In the end it doesn't matter that much but I know I don't like it and I think many people also feel that way.
This is a really smart take on the theme! It seems obvious to have this idea of discovery, but it's really quite clever. The only things I would say are slow down the character a touch to make them feel a bit more in control. Also, maybe use a different font, as the default is pretty bland. The font isn't used too much, so it doesn't take away from the game and the beautiful art, but it something to keep in mind.
The concept of discovering more and more of the level as you die and restart is pretty interesting. Only criticism is that it's quite hard to control the player while jumping, making it difficult to land on the small platforms.
Hi, your game is absolutely amazing. Graphics, sounds, gameplay - gorgeous. The only thing I can suggest is making character more responsive in the air, now player needs to press longer than expected naturally
I like the sounds and the graphic of your game. The pixel arts look amazing in my opinion.
The game is all round great. I love the cute and simple art style, the level design is pretty good, and the mechanic of exploring to discover your path is a very nice touch to a game set in a cave like place. However, there are two downsides to the game: the music was very robotic and harsh. It did irritate me a little towards the end, but it did go well with the vibe of the game. The movements are also like ice. The platforms themselves are small but the add speed and slippery-ness of the player's movement made it more difficult to move around, especially on the ascending green stairs. I can tell it requires skill, but it does not make the game unplayable.
So overall, great job. With some fine tuning and a better soundtrack, this would be considered a complete and great game!
i love the art style and animations, and the way rewind is implemented in this game however the only issue so far is the music being annoying , hope you work more on it after the jam, cause i know you this can be a very cool and popular game if you had the time to work more on it 🤍
Amazin revealing mechanic! Range is a bit too small tho... Still, really good looking platformer with innovative checkpoints.
I love that you get visually reset, and now just respawn, really adds to the theme! In the beginning the tutorial-text was a bit cutoff so i couldnt read it. Also it was a bit frustrating to trial and error all the time. I love the effect though. I also used it in one of my other games haha. The pixelart is really sweet and the VFX also are really adding to the feeling. Good job!
I love how you used the fog of war to see the level little by little, i love the over all look and everything is consistent this is a polish and complete game over all and that is very impressive for 1 week duration. your game is on my top 10 :)
Great game and great concept. It's hard getting used to the controls and after playing the game I'm still having trouble controlling my character. The sound was cool, the graphics were simple yet it gives that dangerous dungeon vibe and the level design was unforgiving. Cool game!
Game is nice. But controls is little weird. And some parts are hard.
