I really like the music and the idea is interesting. However there a couple small things that I think could help it:

1. Most importantly, what is a big movement? How close are you to it? Sometimes it told me I died after I put up a single stick! Just having a small bar to show how much you moved and maybe explaining the idea a bit more would help.

2. I think you could put in more juice, maybe a bit of screenshake every time you put up a stick, and when you die, I don't think the player should be told to know. He should feel the platform shake and know that he messed up a bit :)

3. Thats a really small thing - when you die, the restart screen has the main menu button on top and the rewind on the bottom. I clicked the main menu button accidentally twice, and it was frustraiting to redo stuff.

4. For some reason the mouse scrollwheel didn't work for me and didn't turn it around.

Hi Nitai99, thank you for the super detailed reviews and feedback and i really appreciate it, especially the number 1 that you point out, on numer 2 about  the juice it would be a great addition too to have more feedback for the player , about the number 3 i'm really sorry about it, i should atleast save the progress so that player will not repeat from the beginning. and for the mouse wheel this is the 1st time that i heard that it's broken but thanks for telling that maybe it is. again thank you for this reviews and feedback i really appreciate it :)

Overall a good game but do have agree other people in the comments the camera angle could use some work

Developer

Hi Reetro,  Thanks for your feedback and i totally agree 100% with that camera angle issue

Submitted

Hi, you've made a good game, the only thing i have to complain about is the camera angle. If the angle would be a even better. Reminded me a lot of Mikado.

Developer

Hi KevinHass, thank you for your honest review and feedback definitely a good view and angle will make this game more fun and fair, BTW can you share that Mikado thing that you say any link please?

Submitted

Sure, Mikado is a  skill game where you can play alone or with other players and have to pick up the sticks. Every stick has points depending  on the lines, and if you move an other stick while you are trying to pick one up, you get no points and the next player picks a stick. Heres the Wikipedia Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikado_(game)

Developer

Wow,thank for your quick reply , sound interesting i will definitely check this :)

It is a pretty common and well known game in Europe  and Germany, where i am from.

I remember this game when I was a kid! Interesting design you have. One thing I'd suggest is to have a better angle so we can see what sticks are on top of which and that it'd be a lot easier to click. Cool game and fun all the way!

Developer

Thanks for your great observation actually i'm planning to add some zoom in and zoom out feature but , i don't have time too add it but i'm happy that there's people that's still remember that beautiful and challenging  game pick up sticks , BTW i wish you had a happy Game Jam experience too! :)

Interesting i didn't get it at first but got the hang of it the movement is not too forgiving so you gotta be precise. Was fun.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and review , actually your observation is spot on because i'm rellying too much on physics maybe some fake physics will make this  game more balance and more forgiving , BTW i hope you had a Good Game Jam Experience too :)

Submitted

Thanks I hope you did too was kinda stressful but was fun towards the end.

I loved playing pick-up sticks as a kid- thank you for reminding me of the experience! I liked that the first level was very easy and it had a nice challenge curve.

Developer

Camera always felt a bit odd to get a good look, but was a nice puzzling experience untangling the sticks. 👍

Developer(+1)

i see thanks for your feedback , that the camera needs some adjustment. BTW i really appreciate that you try out my entry :)

I was a bit confused in the start about how the game works, but when i got it, the game became a fun casual puzzle game!

Also a nice and unique way of execution the theme!

Good job :)

Developer

Thanks Affax, i really appreciate your feedback!

In the instructions i think u should add "to avoid significant movement of other sticks" cuz i was kinda confused at start about  what significant movement means. Good idea overall!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, sure definitely i will make it clear thanks again!
