A lost skullhead revives its deceased friend. Their souls combine - they are strong together. However, if you get hit, you are torn apart into two worlds!

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code by myself. UI assets by myself. 3D art and audio from multiple sources (kenney.nl, opengameart.org)

I had so much fun while playing! I enjoyed the shop mechanics and the healing altars... I got to level 7 before I finally died! Once you flesh out the game more, I'd be willing to pay for it! Note: You can just refresh the shop items repeatedly in one level...

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!

Refreshing the shop items is an exploit I never noticed... Nice discovery! :)

Awesome gameplay! This is my favorite game from this jam so far! It's extremely immersive for such a small game too.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Really glad you enjoyed it :)

Is it possible to play it with a keyboard? I don't think so, right? If so, it was very confusing to me haha. It looks very cool, I specially like the UI you made, congrats!

Developer

It’s possible but it’s difficult for sure! WASD moves the character and you aim + shoot with the arrow keys. Space key progresses dialogue etc.

This is the one major issue with twin stick shooter games! Even using the mouse didn’t work out as the center of the screen moves when the worlds tear apart...

This was a really fun one :)

Love the style and story behind it, really cute.

Hi, The game looks great, but i could not seem to get past the dialouge pop up in the begginging on keyboard.

Developer

Hey! Did you press the space key to progress? :) Doing that will update all the prompts in the game to match keyboard rather than controller.

The cool visual style, interesting idea, and most importantly, cool storytelling, I really liked it. But shooting is pretty hard for me

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, shooting with a keyboard is definitely tricky!

This was a lot of fun and really charming! I do wish for more level types that get randomized that you walk around in, as it unfortunately gets a bit repetetive with the same level over and over again (excluding the boss level), especially when you're sent back to square one after every death.

But still, this was fun and I like your take on the theme!

Thanks for playing! Yeah, more environment varieties was on the list of things to do but never got time in the end. :)

Ah I feel you, time sure does catch up on us.

Really awesome take on the theme and this feels really well fleshed out. Had some graphical issues when the ghost recombine but other than that it was very fun and I loved the story you managed to tell as well

Thanks for playing! :) Shame about the bug... Haven't been able to replicate it myself but had some friends run across the same issue.

the attack controls is a bit hard when you only have a keyboard, but the gameplay is perfect.

Developer

Thanks for playing! It's definitely very hard on keyboard for sure!
