In what way does your game fit the theme?
Your ducklings are helpless without you. You are stronger together as a family. You have to lead them through danger.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
No. Some art assets (Cars, roads, trees, lake & fence) were used from kenney.nl. Everything else was made by me.

Nice game! The graphics are good and its fun to play.
Thank you :)
so lovely game! it is really enjoying to play it. and of course music is amazing!
aw thank you very much!
A very fun game! Only I didn't understand how to raise the bread. Perhaps this is due to the fact that I have not completely read the text on the menu )
yeah I'm sorry the menu was a bit of a wall of text. You can't eat the bread, your ducklings get distracted by it and you have to call them with your quack to get them to follow you again.
And I wondered why they stood there for five minutes. LoL
The art is really nice, the gameplay is a little annoying but it gets the point across. It kind of contradicts the theme as it's more dangerous together. I liked the game overall.
Thank you :) just curious, why did you find the gameplay annoying?
I wasn't quite sure where to go at first, and it felt awkward controlling the ducklings as they wouldn't always follow even without the bread, but the Q made it better.
The artwork combined with the name really drew me towards playing this game, and I'm happy I did, because it was very cute and interesting. The audio in particular impressed me, being very understated and elegant, yet extremely effective in how it's utilised. I love how the cars and ducks played into the music, and also gave you some audio cues on how to approach a situation. There was a constant sense of tension as well, because they're cute little ducks, you obviously don't want to see them get hurt!!! I will say that I didn't really see how the game fit with the theme too well at all, though I've read the comments and it makes sense why now, though I thought it'd be good to still bring it up. I also found the inconsistency of the the duckling speed and their pathing while getting distracted made walking near a piece of bread practically a death sentence, even with the quack, since only some of them would get called over while the rest would remain in the same spot or get newly distracted. Still quite an impressive game with a lot going for it despite my criticisms, would be really interested in seeing where it goes from here if you plan on touching the game once this jam ends.
If you have the time, I'd love it if you checked out my game as well.
Thank you very much, yeah it doesn't fit the theme very well does it haha Thank you for the feedback. I will check your game out.
really like the clean artstyle and vibe! the sound effects were great too, was kinda confused with directions at first but it was a really fun experience, restarted a few times because my ducklings keep dying haha.
Mind checking out our game too? https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/929064

Short but very nice game :)
Thank you :)
if you have time, can you check out our game :)
Will do!
Well done on the game.
Really enjoyed it.
Can you check out my game if possible.
Thank you, yep I will check it out.
Really fun and had a nice sound design. Just don't know how it fits the theme
thank you very much, yeah that's a fair point, it made more sense with my original plan to have a fox enemy that could pick off the ducklings if they got too far away and then you had to battle him at the end. But of course none of that got implemented :D
A nice little game! I wish it was a bit longer! (but it is understandable as it is a jam game)
I couldn't understand what the red bar on the top-left was meant to be, was it supposed to be a health bar? It wouldn't make sense because the duck loses all its health when squished anyways.
haha whoops that's a good point, I had implemented a health bar because originally there was going to be a fox you had to fight but I forgot it wasn't needed anymore.
Cute game! Great work with the dynamic music!
Thank you very much!
