Wow, what an absolutely stunning and heart-warming game. The combination of the beautiful soundtrack, the gentle story and music and the simple puzzles was incredible, I can't believe this is a jam game and your first completed game! The art and puzzle for the stars section were perfect!

Beautiful art style and music! I loved that constellation puzzle, so creative!
The game is beatiful!! :DD
I really enjoyed the experience of "unfolding" the story.
If you ever make a full game like this and want to translate it into Spanish i'd love to help.
thank you:) I actually last week make a continuation of the game, you may check it: https://anamerzlaya.itch.io/follow-the-blackbird (but it is in english again)
Wow, beautifully crafted experience! It felt like a children's book was unfolding in front of me, you really nailed that kind of feeling.
Although I did like the analog movement, I had some trouble making it progress smoothly from frame to frame. I think having the ability to move across the story at your own pace is a nice touch, but maybe it will work better with some kind of slide-based presentation where the ambiguity between scenes is less obvious.
Also, I dont know if this is just me, but I never quite got if clicking on the bird was needed in order to load each new image, I think maybe I got confused by the first image with the controls (the one that says "Click!" pointing to the bird). Some extra visual feedback might fix this issue, but I'm sure you're aware of this already.
Anyway, nitpicking apart, I think you did an amazing job here, the story was charming, the artstyle was beautiful and fitting, and the presentation was experimental in a way only jam games can be sometimes. Really good entry!
Nice game. Slow and relaxing. I really like the graphics, the paper texture in the background, hand draw animations and watercolor pictures that have semi-transparent edges and blend to the background. It really reminds me of game Gris.
I also like the puzzle with the stars. It seems almost impossible to match start with the animals, but when I dragged animals around the sky, it reveals their place.
Sometimes I was confused how to progress further, because when I go down there were only picture frames and nothing in them, so I must come back and after some tries, I worked fine. Maybe make that when person don't finish a page, they couldn't scroll further down, so they are not confused what to do next.
Overall, really good game, different from other games but that is good and I like this game for that.
This was very cute. I really liked how the story unfolded as I went down. I would have enjoyed this more if I was able to use the scroll wheel on a mouse, and being able to move faster. Also, the art was really beautiful. In conclusion, this was really nice, good job. Also the black bird should have a name, maybe Bobby.
Cu(uuuuu)te artwork and simple gameplay, this could be a great setup for a game with child stories !
Maybe the player shouldn't be able to scroll down if the image isn't going to show up when he's supposed to wait or do something. That would make it more obvious that something is expected from the player sometimes. For example, i didn't really catch that i was supposed to click on a flag at first, and expected another panel for the minigame after this one when i first saw the text.
But overall it's well made and congrats on your first finished game !
Absolutely stunning! I just loved the watercolour drawings and the background! The music is also great and fits perfectly. An amazing job!
such a great game :) I love the art and music, and congratulations on this being your first finished game :D I really enjoyed playing this game.
Damn this was such a different, such a new concept! It felt as if I was in a museum of art that was presented to me in the form of a game! Really brilliant
This is lovely. I love this.
I don't know what to say honestly, I just loved this.
Thank you!
This is so amazingggg! I love the art and the music and the gameplay. I've been wanting to incorporate my paintings into my games for so long but you've done it so exceptionally. I loved it so much! (Confession I cheated and read the comments to pass the flags part xD) Do come and play my game too and tell me what you think. I tried to make it as pretty as possible too. Would really love to hear what you think ^_^
As I commented in the game page, this is a really unique and beautiful game. Great job ^^
This game was really, really pretty, I spent ages just staring at some of these pictures as it all captured the aesthetic of a kids' picture book in such an effective way. What little gameplay mechanics there were all blended in really nicely with the story as well, making them end up feeling incredibly charming. My main criticism is the way that sometimes the next picture wouldn't load and I ended up having to scroll back up to get the animation finished before scrolling back down, so I personally feel like that aspect could've used a bit more refining to make it a far smoother, more intuitive experience. Other than that though, this was a really unique game that I immensely enjoyed, and I'm interested to see where you go from here, especially if it entails more art that's as amazing as this :)
I am really happy you enjoyed the game! yes, i will try to think how to improve it mechanics more. the idea of clicking on pad in order to open next one was due to preventing by accident scrolling down, turning on animation and then need to return back. so it was the best i could think of, but i should think of something better
The drawings are absolutely beautiful! A very unusual (and fun!) interpretation of the theme. I’d say the camera could move a little bit faster. I also didn’t fully understand when and where am I supposed to click so that the next image shows (maybe just anywhere?). And why is the wrong flag actually “wrong”? I found it just by clicking all the flags, to be honest. Anyways, a beautiful & heartwarming game, amazing job!
thank you!
well, main idea of clicking on pad in orde to open next one was due to preventing by accident scrolling down, turning on animation and then need to return back. so it was the best i could think of
yea, i already got some comments that flag puzzle was too difficult:( the flags have some certain order and one of them is not matching this sequence. this is the 'wrong' one
