In what way does your game fit the theme?
You connect objects together to make strong structures that wont collapse.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
everyrthing exept the music playing in the background was made by me from scratch during the jam.

Good game with interesting mechanics (using different materials) and puzzles of construction. Well done!

The mute button it didn't work for me and it dissapeared in further levels. Also a pause button to change volume would be nice!

I encorauge you to play my game too! https://undefinido.itch.io/a-tale-for-food

Hey there,

Really catchy music you got here, and the gameplay is very well executed. Adding a little bit of polish here and you can make it into full android game.

Cheers!!!

This is so much fun! The simple but cute graphics in combination with the great music makes this game great! I got stuck on that one puzzle with the 4 bricks and 1 wood though where youre supposed to use 4 rope/2 planks to get the wooden ball down... maybe i'm just dumb hahah

One thing I'd like to see changed is perhaps a way to undo your last change or something?  Placing everything down again was a bit of a pain...

I totaly agre with you about the undo button, I kinda tried to work around it by making the levels more simple and use less components, but still it would have made it better :)

The graphics are really nice. I like the transition effect a lot. My only criticism is that the planks dont let bricks sit on top of them. I know the planks are just supposed to be stronger, so I think it would make more sense if it was a reinforced rope because then players wouldn't think to try to balance bricks on planks.

Your game was very fun, I love to see when the game jam theme being implemented in a puzzle game, the amount of content you managed to make in just a week is also impressive. Cheers!!

Ugh I love this kind of stuff.

the music: Boppin

the controls: Intuitive

the kind of game: my favorite

I had to force myself to stop playing and I can still hear the music in my head lol. I know you said you didn't make it, but it fits very well. Great game! At one point I noticed a truck in the background had a layering issue, but that's a tiny issue and nothing to worry about!

Sweet game! Gave me heavy mid-2000's flash games vibe, with the gameplay, heavy linework, etc. And for that reason I like it since I remember really liking those physics bridge building games back then. This is so feature-packed too, every time I thought I had seen everything you introduced a new mechanic!

I got to the level with 25 springs and glass balls and didn't continue past then because it was just tedious to place all of the springs again whenever I had to reset.

If you develop this game further, I suggest that you make it so it saves the current design that the player has when they fail and just allow them to delete connectors and place them again. This would encourage more experimenting and make it less frustrating when the player fails on one of the levels where they have to place 20 connectors (or maybe just limit the amount of connectors per level to like 7-8, either works)

There's also the small issue that it's sometimes hard to tell what is in the background and what is not (this first came to be an issue in the first level with the yellow metal)

Overall though, great polished game, I had a lot of fun with it!

Thanks for checking my game out! Yeah, i noticed that the glass balls level was a problematic,  i would have removed it if i could now, it doesnt fit the rest of the game and is not all that fun.

but its nice to hear that you enjoyed it anyways :)

Darn, I wish I could've skipped past it so I could continue playing the game, but I wasn't about to place 20 springs lmaoo. But hey's it's a learning experience!

Developer

yeah, A skip button could have helped.

The game is good, it is interactive and lets you be creative, the only criticism is that at first impression I did not see the theme of the jam in the game

This is our game in case you want to play it, feedback is very welcome!
