Nice spin on Tetris. The music and sounds fit really well and the graphics look good.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
The barge is STRONGER the better you fit the pieces TOGETHER!
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all code and made all pixel art (except the font). Audio was sourced from copyright-free materials.

This was a fun little game and the audio fit so well, but the way it fits the theme seems like a bit of a stretch
If you have spare time please consider rating my game and leaving a review as well
Great game! Nice take on the theme. Im really bad at tetris, but I still enjoyed this game!
Audio wise, the feedback is there and the music is not intrusive (rather jolly and feels like old school RPGs). Graphics I also enjoyed. It's a rather unique take on the theme. As mentioned before, the perspective was a little bit misleading at times. I also found myself thinking that maybe it should've played from top to bottom instead (for tetris familiarity) but this is obviously a question of game design. I think that way this would actually work pretty nicely on mobile.
Overall I can definitely see that you have put thought and care into this. So for that, bonus points already. It feels more like an actual game in progress and less of a hurried entry. I appreciate you using the same mechanic to enhance level design, rather than pushing more and more mechanics into it before I can learn one.
Nice game. I love the graphics. I would be very happy if you played my game.
Nice! Managed to beat em all.
The art was nice but the perspective made it very hard to read. It happened to me several times in the early levels that I misjudged the area where I needed the boxes and was off by one in the end. Also few times missed a block completely because of the same reason. Would have been much more clear to play without the extra dimension of the blocks and everything being flat.
The gold blocks were a nice twist but on the first level they appear, they came too late at least on both of my plays so you need to do some extra shuffling of blocks around even if you manage to build it perfectly up until that point. Very disheartening.
The bad blocks on the other had seemed like a non-factor completely. Only happened to me once that they broke something and those blocks were some extra throw away thrash anyway.
The slowness was bit of an issue. So much time was just spent waiting around for the blocks to fall. I don't really see any downside of allowing the player to grab the blocks off the air too. Am I missing something? I mean, you anyway just wait for a block to fall anywhere and then you're free to position it however you want anyway.
There was like zero uses for moving the barge. On the first gold level I though finally some use had appeared and I had to manoeuvre the barge so that the incoming gold blocks would hit the stuff I had already placed on the frame. But that tactic ended up being void too since you could just grab the gold ones after they had landed and squeeze em in the frame.
But yeah, very good job! 👍
Very cute graphics and music, its a very fun and interesting take on tetris! My only problem I had was that it was very easy to solve the puzzles because you can just stack up pieces in the middle and then solve/rotate them later. I think it might be more interesting if you're only allowed to rotate them when they're falling
It's a fun idea but could be expanded apon.
P.S. I would really appreciate it if you could check out my game, Pitch Black.
Really cool! I love this take on tetris, The ability to rotate blocks even after they got connected is great becuase it creates stratergy, I ended up saving up blocks at the side until i needed them.
good job!
Nice game! It was a nice take on Tetris that I haven't seen before, and the dialogue was charming! I do with that the rotate piece button was something different, because my scroll wheel is jank so every time I scrolled it it just rotated the piece twice accomplishing nothing. The art is good, I think the palette could use a little work though. Overall awesome game!
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the dialogue and art. The color of the pieces were just Godot built-in constants I used as stand-ins--I intended to go back and set the color to align with the rest of the game, but I forgot... until just now... oops. A few other people have had the scroll wheel issue, sorry about that. Lessons learned!
For reference, all I did was use a grayscale image in a Sprite, then set the 'modulate' property to one of these colors: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/classes/class_color.html
Very useful for prototyping.
