In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have a satellite-buddy who enhances your attacks, but you have to split up because only them can deactivate enemy shields.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I created all code myself.
I created all assets except the background sprite myself.

It's a nice little shooting game but it's missing of some sounds and music.
You could make some sounds by using a freeware called SFXR.
The time is looking a bit weird. I think it would look better if you would just count whole numbers instead of smallers or don't display the whole numbers.

Hey thanks for the feedback.

The missing sound is simply due to running out of time to implement it, but you are right that's hurting the overall experience a lot.

The timer was also a last minute (literally) inclusion and I didn't test it properly, so yeah, it's completely broken.

I already have a version which addresses all these points as well as better balancing ready to upload as soon as the rating period is over.

Very cool mechanics, perhaps a little bit of particles to add

Overall it was very nice

really impressive for a week long jam

Launching your little buddy and seeing him hook onto the enemy ship disabling the shield is quite satisfying and a nice idea. I think some sound would really bring this alive a whole lot more (I also never managed to get any sound in my game) Other than that it would be nice to see some sort of feedback that I'm hitting the enemies...like a flash or a health bar. I like the models you made for this too nice job

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

You are absolutely right that most of the player feedback is missing (i.e. there is a 2 second i-frame period after respawning but you don't notice it), as well the missing music / sound. I also wanted to implement some particles.

I got carried away with a to flexible enemy class (which in the end I rarely used) and a level editor which I did not use because I ran out of time to create levels, so I ended up with a hacked together random spawner to at least have something playble for the submission.
All that time would have been better spend in the things you mentioned.

It is interesting and hard game, but I liked it!
