In what way does your game fit the theme?
There are Cowboys in space and planets flying all over the place. It can get pretty chaotic.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I outlined some people who made some art and music assets. I also used a Brackeys tutorial for object pooling, but other than that I wrote all of my code myself.

Love the concept and especially the audio! "Whoa nelly!"

Thanks so much for playing! That was the one voice line I had to record for this game. I was playing with it in Unity trying to determine if I should pitch it up or down, and decided that it sounded better slightly pitched up.

The game was an idea but i was kind of confused without any sort of explanation i survived for like 2 minutes and got bored so i don't think it was too chaotic

Rate our game if you would the feedback would be greatly appreciated (highschool team)

Thanks for playing. I'm sorry to hear you didn't like it. I had a little description under the game if that would help at all.

Some gameplay and feedback from the stream, if you are interested:

Thanks so much for playing my game as well as giving me some feedback! I didn't really get a chance to have someone else test it during the development because I was very rushed, but it was very interesting to hear what you had to say about my game.

I like the chaotic nature of the game. The only real thing I would ask for is instructions. I didn't know it was even a survival game until I died. Not knowing what things are good or bad to touch makes it hard to understand. I read in a comment below that black holes don't hurt you, but why would i go near them when the other things i touched killed me. Knowing that they don't hurt me though might have offered me a strategy on how to best use them. Overall it was an enjoyable game. Liked the simple graphics and fun nature of it.

I would've preferred a snappier movement as others have pointed out but in 8 hours its a chaotic game for sure.

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it.

Fun and simple, was confused by what the black-holes did. Really appreciated how easy it was to play.

The lack of control in the movement worked well for the theme.

Good job!

If you have another person and a controller available to plugin please check out my game!

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! The black holes don't actually do damage themselves, but they pull in the cowboys/planets/horses which can cause some havoc when trying to skillfully maneuver around.

Fun game, i wish the movement was a bit snappier.

Thanks for playing and your feedback!

Pretty fun,  I just wish there was a bit of an indicator of where the planets were going to shoot from. But still great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing and your feedback! After the jam is over I may come back to this project.

Great game! Controls felt good and the sliding nature of it really added to the chaos! Love the use of sfx to indicate the horse incoming and the physics felt really fun! Love the style! Great Job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing my game! When I started developing this game I didn't intend for the sliding to occur, but after playing, testing, and thinking about the theme/setting of the game, it felt fitting to have that bit of sliding occur.

It was definitely a wonderful addition and a happy accident! I thought it really added to the experience!

nice , first game that I've played that gives me chaotic vibes , keep it up !

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing my game!

At first I only had the small and the big planet, but I decided that that wasn't chaotic enough. I decided I would add the black holes to really hit home the chaotic nature that the game was supposed to have. They try to suck in any of the planets/horses/cowboys which throws them off of their initial trajectory, making predicting where to go much harder.

Nice game! In my opinion the art is the best part of this game

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! I'm not a very good artist, but know that I poured my heart and soul into ms paint to make those stick figures! The background and planet sprites were assets I found around on itch.

I like how the kinda floaty controls add to the challenge of the game! nice work ^^

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the nice words.

The art on planets and background are really nice!

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting. As I wrote in the credits the planets sprites were created by a generator found here on itch.io from Indigoli and the space background with the animation was created by VectorPixelStar.
