How does you game fit the theme?
This game fits the theme as you play a moth as they fly by a never ending series of lamps which may or may not be real (some are bug-zappers instead).

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets (graphics, sound effects, music, etc.) and code were written by myself as the sole developer during the game jam. No external packages/assets were used in the making of this project.

Tools used to make the assets and code: Unity, Visual Studio, Inkscape, Krita, Audacity, and Bosca Ceoil

I never knew that I wanted to play as a moth so badly, my fellow moths kept getting zapped or eaten. I enjoyed it overall, what an excellent game!

That was pretty fun, I like the concept. I have a bit of a moth problem where I live, so I actually enjoyed gathering a group of moths then purposely flying them into a zapper, kind of satisfying... I know that's not what I was supposed to do, but moths haunt me haha.

I was actually pretty impressed by the fact that you have a fully implemented settings menu... with things I wouldn't expect (saturation etc). Minor thing - one suggestion to make the sliders look a bit nicer is to use sliced images rather than stretching the image to fill the slider.

Great job!

I had a blast playing this game!! I love the flappy bird-esk movement, but with the additional mechanics of getting friends along the way. And it was sad when my brothers died! I felt very invested trying to keep them alive!

I was curious is there a way to kill the bats? Like get them to hit lamps? I tried but couldn't get the angle right.

I also love your opening cutscene super cute humor great game, excited to see where this goes!

Thanks! The bats follow the moths, so you have to lead the bat into the zappers without getting into the zapper yourself of course.

This was so cute. Thanks for this great game. I constantly flew over the roof in the hope you really could get to the moon. :) Sadly i couldn't. But i had many friends. But the bat ate them all. :-( Great experience. :)

Never would I ever guessed that I would enjoy being a moth, gathering moth friends. Great game! :D

I really liked this game, the art are simple and cute, and the moth talking during the game was a nice touch, the only thing is that i felt the moth was too fast, but i guess with practice the player can handle it, nice job!

Developer

Thanks! I wanted to give him some personality and add some humor to the game. The moth speed was something I was indecisive about. I'm thinking of adding a gameplay menu where the player can increase/decrease the difficulties (including speed) where it provides higher/lower score rate after the game jam.

This game was super fun and cute! I was smiling and giggling the whole time I played it.  It took me a few tries to realize exactly what was going on, but once I realized what was happening it  was a blast!
