How does you game fit the theme?
As the birds thinking "That human looks kinda odd" to the scarecrow, it's somewhat refers to "it's not real" :) kinda..
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code and sprites are made from scratch. The music and sound effects are from internet, though

Cute little game! Very nice graphics and sound! It took me quite a while to understand how to start it 😝
Thanks for playing! Hehe I know it's not clear enough
Cool game! I like the cute cartoonish art style and fluid animations, the birds bobbing its head up and down looked very squishy. The sound effects were nice, but maybe add a little pitch variation with each sling since it's repeated a lot. I like your interpretation on the theme and that it drives the development of the game (maybe, idk but it sounded like that's the basis of your development), but it just doesn't have a signi impact on the game. The controls were good, but maybe needs a little more feedback like the sling stretching to your finger, but I must say that the arrow did provide good indication too. I like interactive main menus, but this one felt a little strange since there was no indication that you were supposed to shoot the button... Maybe when the button is pressed, add a little text saying "aim using the slingshot and hit this button'. As for the gameplay itself, it was pretty fun... It started off very chill and quickly ramped up in difficulty and made for a pretty good challenge. Overall really well-made, I liked it!
Wow thank you! And yeah I agree with all of your thoughts, especially the slingshot feedback one. Thanks for that!
Super Fun!
Thank you!!
Great concept with very cute art, but in practice the interface was really nonintuitive--having to shoot the buttons makes it seem like the buttons just don't work (plus they're hard to hit!), and being able to fire the slingshot when the game isn't playing makes it unclear when it starts and ends. (I both sat around before the game thinking it had already started and after the game not realizing it had ended.) It's a very good implementation of what it's intended to do--it's just that what it's intended to do is not at all what I as a player expect.
ikr it's pretty odd (I do realise it). But at least I've tried to implement it to a game and pretty happy with the result :)
I made it that way cuz I just want the player to know how to play the game (and do some practice) even before the game start (I know it looks like an excuse, but that was really what I thought)
Anyway, thanks for playing and also for your feedback!
Very clean yet simple gameplay, the sound was on point. It's really cool you can play on your phone.
Thank youu!
Sound effects and animations are 10/10
Thankk yoou! Btw your game is sooo awesome :)
That’s an innovative concept. Little hard to play on browser, but great work nonetheless.
Thankk youu!!
Man, it took me forever to realize I was supposed to shoot the play button and not click it 😂😂
Really fun game, very polished, the aiming was a bit annoying at first but you get used to it,
Would love to see this further expanded upon as a real mobile game, I see a lot of potentials and it's really fun.
Good job!
Thanks for playing! Yeah I guess I need to make some clue there. And also I don't think that I'll expand this game (at least for now). Thanks again!
very nice game, it is simple but very polished! I couldn't understand how the aiming works very well but I was playing it with a mouse.
Thank you for playing!
For the aiming mechanic:
- click and hold somewhere in the screen and drag it to aim (you have to drag it far enough until you see an arrow icon near the slingshot). In this state, you can change the aiming direction based on the direction of your current mouse position to the point that you firstly clicked on.
- release the click to shot.
I know it's a bit confusing to read, but if you try it yourself, it won't be that hard to understand hopefully :)
Very fun game with a lot of potential. I played in browser (which wasn't recommended) and had issues aiming a little bit, but I was able to play. As someone that kind of hates birds, this was very cathartic. I love the animation, too. Very reminiscent of old-school NewGrounds flash in a good way.
Only issue is that the theme is underutilized, but themes are mostly there as a prompt, so if you came up with this mostly on your own with loose affiliation of the theme, more power to you. Nicely done. Would love to see this expanded.
Thanks for playing! And thanks also for your feedback!!
good try
i dont know how it fits theme
please play my game too
i fint that you cant sometimes shoot to some directions
I think there's no issue with the shoot mechanic. Maybe you didn't drag it far enough (if you do, there will be an arrow icon near the slingshot)
yes i thing i didnt drag it far away
Thanks for playing! Yeah I know it doesn't fit the theme
Also I've played your game. Good job on yours!
The art is simple but amazingly effective and cute! I tried to play on my phone but it didn't work for some reason :( but the PC version worked just fine. Great game!
Oh really? What was not working?
It just crashed when I tried to open it. I could hear the music but I couldn't see any visual. Then I tried to refresh and it said "WebGL not available". Maybe it's my phone, because on my PC I had no problem.
Ouh that's something I can't work on. Thanks for playing!
I am digging this art style, it's simple and effective. I feel like it's better to play this on a mobile phone, it's kind of hard to aim in WebGL. I love this style so much that I even played and finished Bring Me to The Sun (another great game). I love your style, I can't wait to see what you create next!
Thank you!! Actually I'm pretty sad how BMTTS turned out for some reason.. but glad that you enjoyed playing it!
