VERY CUTE GAME! I like the mechanic begin based on fish out of water XD the whistle thing is a nice touch, it could be a little nicer perhaps if you automatically whistle at the start of every game to indicate the game starting? (idk just a suggesetion)... The fish rotting on the ground is so sad lmao it's a really nice touch to give them the color difference to indicate the rotting, and the shark's expressions serve as a marker to the health as well as being really cute too! Amazing job (when's the mobile release?).. jokes aside, great work!
This is a REALLY fun game! It feels kinda like bad piggies in a way and it's really fun to try and build a machine that works... It's also increedible that you guys were able to pull off the online thing an make it work (tho still quite buggy, but the fact that it works is already impressive enough), I'm playing it so much I LOVE IT. Kinda wished there were tougher opponents tho... But there isn't really much else to say, it's an amazing game, the improvements to be made for the game are already pretty straight forward, and I had a great time playing the game! Great Job!
Yoooo this game is really cool... I like the ambience and atmosphere of the game, it's super unsettling and creepy. The sound effects were also incredibly spooky, though they are quite too loud sometimes... I really like the story of the game, (Spoiler Alert?) what I'm getting at is that this guy is in a endless loop of some sort, leaving behind notes for himself and wants to bring back his memories? I like the photo thing, but on the first play through since you had to get 3 black sploches to complete the photo, it didn't really make sense, until I played through the second time for the third ending and got the family picture, which was really neat. I don't know how to get the 2nd ending tho, but noentheless incredibly captivating. If I had a complaint it would be the sea monsters... they really don't much to the overall story or gameplay or the game but punishes you heavily if you fail... But other than that, great work man!
WOOWW!!! This game is absolutely INSANE.... I LOVE the atmosphere of the game, the sound effects, the ambience, the artstyle, everything about the game feels super polished and seems like a $15 steam game.... Honestly Very Incredible... The mechanics of the game are very original and unique... The gameplay is intense and quick, with an ending so calm that makes it all worth it.
Honestly probably the best one I've seen so far... If I had a complaint about the game it would be the difficulty, but that's also part of the charm. Amazing Job!
Pretty decent game, the idea of using water as currency as well as health is really neat. The building placement mechanics worked well, and the movements felt fluid. Sound and music were alright but nothing particularly special... However, I would also like to point out in a user experience perspective on the enemies' attack. like ranged enemies shouldn't be able to immediately take water from afar, and needs some sort of telegrph or communication... But other than that, it's a cute simple little game, once you got the strategy of finding the lakes and then building collectors, it's pretty much automatic from that point. There also doesn't seem to be an endgame which is fine, but ideally giving the players some sort of satisfaction in a game jam would totally go a long way.
Other than that tho, very well done!
ABSOLUTELY GOATED GAME!!! Brilliant ideas and execution, amazing upgrades and abilities with smooth attack controls... I love the waterbender outfit and the cute artstyle in general. Music and sound were okay at best but definitely not bad. However, some key features I would like to point out are:
1. Upgrade system: It feels awkward to reach to over to the 'U' key to be ab;e to upgrade... My suggestion is either binding it closer to wasd, or to make a little upgrade stand that you can head over to in order to upgrade.
2. It's a bit too easy, but that's not a problem... The problem was the ice wall being too op and laggy.... the ice wall should have some cooldown before melting to make it less op and also less laggy (in general it's a good idea to have projectiles of sorts have a cooldown).
3. Just UI and QoL improvements like the number of upgrade points you have and the wave number would be nice.
Other than that, this honestly blew me away by the sheer execution of satisfying and unique abiliities. I loved unlocking the new abilities, trying them out and upgrading them to become super powerful. I used the ice wall + torrent combo which was pretty unstoppable, but all the weapons were unique in their own rights which made this actually incredible. Amazing Job!
