How does you game fit the theme?
We tried to fit the theme by focusing on anxiety. Anxiety comes from worrying about things that could happen but have not yet. These events are "not real" and may never be real, hench the connection to the theme.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, just not the music

Hi!
I had a lot of fun playing this game! Improving the art would really bring your game to the next level. Great effort, congratulations!
If you can, take a look at our game as well. I'd be glad to get your feedback.
Thanks for the feedback!
Real nice game. Was a tad bit too hard for me though lol. This game along with a lot of games I have seen seem like a stretch to try and explain how they managed to fit the theme, at this point I am starting to doubt if anything else exists, but either way it is cool and I haven't seen anything quite like this so far.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Yeah, the theme was hard this jam.
Very fun game! I love how the shooting feels good. Nice job!
Thanks! glad you liked it.
Nice game, I like the simple art. It was pretty overwhelming with how many boxes spawn. I think some more invincibility frames would be cool, since you often get hit multiple times before you can really react. All in all it's a very hard but nice game, well done!
Yeah I completely forgot about invincibility frames lol. Thanks for playing!
That's a really interesting concept, but I think the game is a bit too hard, it would have been better i you could one-shoot the anxiety because it takes too much time, and you can't really focus on one a time given how many there are, apart from that fantastic game 👍
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it.
Nice work! I did have some trouble getting very far in the game but I liked the idea and the color scheme/effects as well.
Thanks for playing!
The whole concept is gr8. the ambience of people talking really fit for the theme you brought. i also like how you can turn on or off the sfx or the ambience, so that i have a choice to play it w or without ambience.
Thanks!
Really enjoyed the graphics and ambient noise, it's really hard at first because so many boxes spawn in. Good job!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
The theme is applied very well in this game! Also the controls were very fluent and I really appreciate that you can change the mouse sensitivity. It was quite hard to beat the boss though!
When you have time after the jam I'd definitely add some models to the anxious thoughts!
Good job on this game!
Thanks for playing! I'll definitely think about it.
I really liked this take on the theme and you really designed your mindspace to in a great way. The background ambiance was a good touch to showcase the anxiety as well. Also, I didn't expect a game jam submission to allow me to toggle all the SFX, background, and mouse sensitive options. That was a great touch!
I did feel the game was a bit too intense at the start. I was just getting the hang of the controls and then about 100 enemies spawned which was a bit overwhelming. Regardless, the controls felt good, the in game dialogue was great, and I had an overall great time playing. I think if you added some more 3D models it would be an awesome game to expand on. Great job!
Ah interesting, thank you for the feedback. I did not think about people needing to learn the controls in a less stressful environment that's a good point. Thanks for playing!
Wow, that's a solid entry. Loved the take on the theme and the visuals. Congrats on the submission 🎉
Thanks!
It gave me anxiety, I think you manage to reach the goal. Well done!
Thanks!
Nice take on the theme. The only thing I'd say is it gets a bit overwhelming with so many orange boxes at the start. But otherwise good job!!
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Woah I was overwhelmed with all of that orange boxes at first. Cool game!
Thanks!
Woah this was super cool!
Thanks!
I didn't really understood some part of the boss fight but overall it is interesting.
Thanks for playing! Yeah it's a little weird lol.
Happy to be the 20th person to rate your game! :)
The gameplay was simple but fun and you managed to use the basic shapes well. Extra points for the option to adjust mouse sensitivity, that issue seems to come up a lot with first-person games.
As for the typing effect on the texts, I would recommend adding an option so when it's typing and you press E you don't skip the dialogue but the typing effect for that part. I like to read all of them, but usually just press E/space/click to skip to the point where I can see all of it.
Also, at some point I fell through the game floor, is that part of the design or a bug?
Thanks, #20 :)
Mouse sensitivity was from feedback from a previous game actually lol. Yeah, I got you on the dialogue, next time. I've never had the fall through the floor bug. I'd have to look into that more. I have found that sometimes I die unexpectedly by falling off the little area or from a cube that comes from out of the view range unexpectedly.
Thanks for the feedback!
Very fun game!
Thanks!
Cool game, however you should improve the jump because sometimes it does not work
Agreed lol :/ thanks for playing!
Fun game! A bit challenging at the beginning, but once I got used to the controls and camera it was really entertaining. Great job!
Nice! Thanks for playing.
