love the pixel art of this game. the game also feels really well made and polished.

Very well polished game! The UI click noises were great and the graphics, in general, were really really nice.

I really enjoyed playing this game, it all felt very polished. The strongest suit is it's graphics, I very much liked the art style, especially the color palette of the background. The gradually increasing difficulty and the introduction of the new mechanics is also spot-on.

One thing I would change is to invert the movement of the day counter so it would add to the feeling of going downwards.

Love the art style.

I had a lot of fun with this one!! nice difficulty ramp and I loved the level select and little blurbs before each mission.  really polished and impressive for only a week, super well done!!

Excellent game and unique concept! I loved the pixel art and lighting!

Boy do I ever love these intense management games. It’s visually very nice and running around with your little flame thrower has lotsa charm to it.

This game is superb!

There is nothing I could complain about on this game, it's lots of fun and challenging!

Although I wonder why you need to use the mouse to click buttons instead of pressing a button, at least for entering levels.

You already need to use buttons to move the ship, why do you then have to use the mouse?

It just doesn't feel right.

Other than that, this game is a must-play!

thanks for the review! I had 2 play testers let me know about the button issue but I hadn’t done something similar before and time was tight; you are totally right though

really cool! i must admit, i got hooked, and wasted quite a bit of time on this game XD
the difficulty spread from one level to another is really good - the things you must do gradually keep piling on! pretty addictive, the gameplay is really cool :D

Thank you!

Is the game bugged for me? The arrow keys don't move the submarine for me.

Developer

Hmmmm. That sucks, I haven't had that issue for anybody else. It's probably too late, but you could try clicking around to make sure you are in the Unity application? Thanks for trying regardless!

I really like the vibe and design! The resource management reminded me a bit of our own submission :)

Thanks! Ill check your game out sometime

This game really transfer the Barotraum vibe. The art is gorgeous and the gameplay is fun as well. I'd reconsider the controls. They make somewhat sense, if you dont need your mouse, but I feel like the individual buttons are still too far apart. I could really see this being a small commercial title, once it reaches a certain amount of complexity and content. Well done! :)

Thanks for the feedback,  I wanted to make the buttons using the arrow keys to navigate but I couldn't figure it out this jam. I'll definitely look into it next jam!

im really really into this artstyle

The pixel artstyle was really incredible. Coupled with well-placed sound effects set up a perfect mood for the game. Nice idea tackling the theme.

thank you! I’ll play your game as soon as I can👍👍👍

What a cool take on the theme! I really liked the levels and the level select screen.

My only criticism would be to make the instructions more clear and more easy to follow. Its easy to throw a text of instructions at people, but I think it would have been much better to have the first level be an interactive tutorial. Also the items that could be picked up should have some sort of visual cue, like an outline of some sort. For example, at first, it was really hard to find the fire extinguisher, because it was red, and when the alarm fired off and the level turned red, it was hard to spot it.

Despite that, this game is awesome.

oh wow, I didn’t even realize that happened because I always knew where the extinguisher was 😅. I also dislike putting walls of text but time constraints made it the only way for this time. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll check out your game as soon as I can!

The art and the lighting really makes the game stand out!

I really like how the difficulty curve was quite steep, which kept it quite challenging.

(I also really enjoy the "level selecting" screen!)

Thanks for the review! I kind of have an unhealthy obsession with making hard jam games, which is a bit bad because I don’t think many people will see the ending.

I really liked the mood of the game, that difficulty curve tho is really steep.

Yes I totally should have made it smoother, but it’s hard to determine difficulty when you know the game inside and out. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll check out your game when possible!

Love the art and lighting, gives a very creepy atmosphere!

thank you! Second time using URP and lighting for unity, so was a bit of a struggle. I’ll check out your game when I can, looks interesting(also I think I saw it on discord a couple times)

It worked really well, I think. It's different to a lot of other games I played. Thanks for checking mine out! I tried using discord for the first time in this jam too. The sense of community was nice.

This game is cool and very realistic .I loved it but the theme lost its points. But a very cool game and do checkout our game too it has extreme difficulty. Anyways kudos to your hardwork. BTW The audio was damn good man.

Thanks for the compliments, and I agree my theme was a bit weak; I tried to do something with it with the stress and heart rate starting from level 3 and also the final ending of the game, but tbh none of those were super central to the theme. I’ll check out your game soon👍👍🥶
