Not bad. Great art and cool concept. Mechanics is fun. But weird key mapping, muscle memory get me pressing the space key.

How does you game fit the theme?
You need to shoot discovery bullets that shows you in a little area the real zone, so you will have to use them to find new zones and make progress in the game.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes.

Quite a long game you got there, partner. But since it was so much fun, I played it whole.
Cool! The world design was good, and the mechanics were interesting. My suggesting would be to make the fire rate a bit faster. Nice job!

Amazing job with this game! I enjoyed the relaxing music while having to fight enemies, lol! The pixel art is so cute to me and love your own twist to this game where not only can you attack enemies with this bullet thing but it also serves as a flashlight/guide through walls to progress in the game!
This was a super nice game! I love the minimalistic graphics! I'd just suggest to decrease the time it takes for us to be able to shoot again. Besides that, great work ^^
This game is pretty cool, I liked every part of it, though I found the pause menu a bit messy
Cool transition when you travel! I like the shooting mechanic, but would prefer to be able to shoot a bit more/faster.
Good job overall!
There's really not much to say about this game, you definitely know your stuff. I really like how you have to go and discover these new mechanics, the game doesn't punish you that hard for making mistakes, good graphics and audio, the gameplay is smooth. What's even more impressive is that you did everything yourself, I can't imagine how challenging that is. Overall, a very well polished game, I love this.
Definitely one of the best games I've seen in the jam! The way mechanics are slowly introduced to help build the player up is awesome, making this an excellent metroidvania. I think the platforming was smooth, and I appreciated the wide variety of enemies too.
The only problem I ran into came after I exited the upper right red room (with the 2 fruits); upon exiting, I was teleported to an area off the map where I kept falling. Deleting the data then respawned me in one of the blue rooms without any of my upgrades (thankfully I could get the dash after that and finish the game).
Really good job! Best of luck!
One of the better platformers that I played for this jam. I liked the projectile system. The direction indicator and health bar being the same image was a good design choice in my opinion. Projectiles being little light sources illuminating the unreal areas was is a good touch. But most of the background colors you have chosen are incredibly eye-tiring(Especially the green ones with black lines). Well Done!
Hi, that was an interesting one. Firstly, it had been really annoying how the bullets are spawn and with such a long cooldown but when I discovered that it shows the hidden area it became more understandable that you don't let the player to over use it. It was really fun to play anyway, congrats on a great entry, cheers ;)
