Hey, thanks for the kind words. The narrative voice is text-to-voice as you probably figured out. We thought it would be cool to have a lousy voice than nothing at all, but yeah, it is somewhat robotic and creepy..=)
Also, thanks for playing it till the end.

Cheers...=)

Demo

Hi, Thanks for the kind words. The combat is, kind of, based on a dos game from the 90s called Blackthorn. You cannot run only at the last section, for dramatic effect. Other than that you can run whenever your gun is unholstered. I don't think we will spend any more time on it. We intend to start a new turn-based strategy game.

Thanks again. Cheers...=)

There is only one ending...Thanks for the comment..=)

Yeah, we tried to add hud/UI elements as little as possible since the screen size is relatively small. But maybe we could use some visual cues on the player sprite itself. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Cheers...=)

Very nice, well-polished game. It would be a strong contender for being a commercial game with a bit more content. Cheers...=)

Wow..=)
Thanks for playing and for the cool video.

Crimson Rite

https://cnkrtn.itch.io/ggj-title

Hey all,

This is our 3rd small game as a team(F.Cenk Ertan, A.Yiğit Ertan, F.Can Felah) together.

Crimson Rite started as a two-day game jam project but we ended up spending around two months and shaped it into a short action-adventure game.

We've tried to establish a world filled with interesting flavor bits story-wise with, in our opinion, a twisted ending.

We have created all the assets from scratch and created five music tracks.

Hey,
We honestly didn't think there would be demand for that. I just uploaded them. Cheers...=)

Thanks for the kind words...This really made our day...Cheers...=)

Hey all,
With the end of the rating period of the jam, I have fixed the known bugs and re-uploaded our entry. We would be delighted if you would play our little game and share your feedback.

Cheers...=)

Wonderfull game. First of all, it has so many moving parts but it's bug-free which is a great achievement in a week.  I really liked how you used the theme. I liked every asset inside our building. Surgeons and assistants and the operation room looked really nice but you could also so easily make the neighboring buildings better which would triple the aesthetic of the game. One more thing is that although it works perfectly with the jam and lets the player advance the game more quickly, the clicking mechanic wouldn't fit if this was not a jam game. But I bet you are aware of that.Very well done! Congrats!

Well, I liked the premise of the game since it is pretty much the same as ours...=). I liked how you executed it with the brightness of the light. I think the real people and the objects turn back to the original if they are not ghosts timely.  I really liked the thumbnail illustration so I was expecting a bit more in the graphics department. Nevertheless a solid entry. Congrats!

Nice little platformer. I liked the music you chose. You also chose unjumpable platforms which work with the theme. Congrats!

Yeah, that would be awesome...

I think that number of ratings that is zero is not related to the jam. It is the rating of your game in general, which could be given by anyone who plays your game, not just the jammers.

Nice little game. The assets looked crisp and the character looks good with the glow. It's a bit short you guys could add a bit more levels with a bit more challenge. I liked that the sound was on the game objects rather than simple volume up/volume down when you are near them. Very well done!

I really liked the idea but I'm not sure how it works. What I got is that yellow tiles show what is real until you reach another yellow tile. But sometimes the tiles don't disappear even they have been shown as disappearable. Maybe a little tutorial screen would help to understand mechanics for the ones like me..=). Other than that everything looks crisp and fluid. One of the best puzzle games of the jam that I played. Very well Done!

One of the better platformers that I played for this jam. I liked the projectile system. The direction indicator and health bar being the same image was a good design choice in my opinion. Projectiles being little light sources illuminating the unreal areas was is a good touch. But most of the background colors you have chosen are incredibly eye-tiring(Especially the green ones with black lines). Well Done!

The character portraits, the title screen, the UI elements are beautiful. The atmosphere supported by the breathing sound works very well. My advice would be to be able to see the tutorial scenes at all times and also maybe a ley to boost your speed. I also couldn't manage to get past the skill check but I think with a better adjustment that mechanic would work in this type of game. Very well Done!

First of all what is winning? This is 1600ish amateur(semi-pro at most) game development enthusiasts rating each other's games. It has no weight at the end in my opinion.

Secondly, I'm hundred percent with LightPotato and PixiVan about the comments. I would prefer a quarter of the ratings as genuine comments. For example, my team is serious about game development and we are trying to get into the industry. I knew nothing about game development, coding or unity until 8-9  months ago. But I have been working hard to learn. The first game we built 6 months ago has been played 127 times and nobody wrote anything about the game. This is a bit frustrating.  For our jam entry around 60 people wrote and around 15 of that is genuine thoughts of the comment giver. This is gold. This is the type that we take into consideration. This is going to be the stuff that we take to shape our future plans.

And the third is that I've played 80 games for this jam and half of that is so amateur that the genuine comment should be ''congrats on completing'' yet I'm trying to write a bit more than that so that these amateur developers would get a bit more motivation to continue. When my game receives a ''Good Job'' comment I automatically think that they either didn't play or they didn't like it. But this is also fine. Cause at the end, I think, we are all searching for that genuine % 20 which will fill our motivation gauge a little bit more.

So on the end note, I want more people to play the game I made and let me know their feelings about the game. If there are people who would play the game with a little ''Play my game first'' condition, I find that it is not that bad of a deal.

Cheers to all...=)

Unique idea and cute graphics.Especially the UI. My one piece of advice would be to add a playable tutorial instead of a text dump. Very well done!

Nice concept. It might be even better with a bit more levels. Good Job!
